Nice pictures :p One thing I don't understand [meant to be taken light heartedly ;p]. When you looked at that knife, it struck you as it may be a fake? lol, If anything looking at that knife should prove its not! Its a beauty for sure!

you know, since yesterday i have looked at it a lot, and it is true that unless you do not know what you are looking at (and in fact one could argue unless you have it in your hands) this looks like something too good to be true.

it is really well crafted and executed, especially the carbon handle. I have own many carbon based items and usually they have a shine to it (due to the quality of the epoxy matrix and "cooking" process) which this one hasn't, so it is a bit disconcerting at first.

I also find that the features on the main pivot takes away from viewer the notion that there are other screws, but since they all are black (not pocket clip side, ok), again, it acts as an optical illusion.

As an aesthetics exercise it is a masterpiece, as a knife to use...well...i wouldn't dare!!!

WOW
that is a truly awesome knife.
I really really really want one but don't ever see that I'll have a chance at one (at a reasonable price).

Congrats on getting your hands on one!

Thanks commonguy001,

yes indeed those are rare, to me they are worth the money because i am yet to see a similar full blown custom.

However, (to me) they are more a sculpture / piece of art than a knife, i will never EDC it...

if any of you are interested i just made a video looking this knife from a different angle than just a "knife review"

My God that is such a beautiful knife!

+1

I would trade all of my knives for one, would use it everyday, and admire it multiple times a day.

Concerned Citizen: "Sir, you seem to have cut your finger off!"

Me: "Yes, but my God! Look at that knife! Quick, help me get all of this blood off of it!"

i respect you for wanting to REALLY use it, that's pretty darn hardcore..but ask yourself this : could you really be with only 1 knife, even if it is that one?? :-)

indeed, if feel sorry for the hardcore fans / collectors who were on "lists" and never got to get theirs

Watching it now. You have got to do something about the interlacing on your video. It's really bothersome, and makes it almost unwatchable.

ralphy, I added you and your #0116 to my Serial Number list thread. Hope you don't mind.

Russ...

Without a doubt in my mind. It has all of the elements of a knife that I could ever want. I LOVE the 777 and I hope some day, when I am a wealthier man that I will finally have a chance to own it.

If I bought it or won it somehow I probably wouldn't sell off my other knives but if the opportunity was there to trade my 550BLK, 350, Cryo, (all with carbon fiber scales) SAK, and A.G. Russell gentleman's folder for a 777 I would jump on that opportunity in a heartbeat. I might rebuy the A.G. or something similar (maybe the new 770CF) just for a smaller carry option, but as little as I need something smaller the 777 alone could be my one and only. Even if I wasn't allowed to buy another knife until the 777 wore out I would be okay with that. It is the best looking knife, made of the best materials, that I personally, have ever seen, even among the 5k dollar customs I have seen. The 777 wins it hands down!

After hearing "rumors" of no more 0777 with the damascus blade it was good to hear from Jimmer_5:

... and yes, we will finish out the 0777's...

Just hoping it'll be the original and not a reincarnation.

Not often that a collector in Europe can buy a hot knife for half it value on the American market!

congratulations.
