💥Blast from the Past💥 (unofficial nostalgic older knife thread)

Here's an oldie.
Kershaw made some tyrades with liners and G10 scales back in 2009.

This one had primary bevels that were way uneven, and the blade was really thick behind the edge, something ridiculous like .050" (I don't remember exactly but I think it was in that neighborhood) it was bad enough that even when it was sharp, it didn't cut well at all. In 2018 or so a combination of confidence in my grinding skills, beer and frustration came together and I reground the blade to even up the bevels and thin it down to .020" bte. It's a much better knife now.

I still have a bnib orange version around somewhere too.

Since we are on Kershaw :
How long has the basic inexpensive little Chill knife been around ?
I bought one over five years ago . . . then bought a second one to mod.
GREAT KNIFE !
Showed the stock one to a coworker , who could pretty much care less about knives , and he said "I need THAT !" and ordered one on the spot.

Curiously enough I run across them every couple years and the price is the same as it was five years ago and more ! ! ! !
Another knife I can not believe has not changed in price in like eight years is the Cold Steel two blade Lucky = carbon fiber handle S35V steel goes for the same price as a very basic Case medium stockman (but that's another post for another time ).

PS: long story why these do not have two blades and the bottom one has a plain edge blade now .(old photo of mine)
