💥Blast from the Past💥 (unofficial nostalgic older knife thread)

I ordered these from Bob in the late '80's.......... :)

The bigger one I ordered in Bob's 50th birthday year, and it has a gold plug with "50" stamped into it. I carried it for about 10 years. The Desert Ironwood in now a solid colour.
The little one is un-carried, unsharpened, as it came from him.

Those were the days.........;)

I started collecting customs in 1988, here're my first one and my first custom order. both still in my collection.

I was at an art exhibition in Charleston and they had a crafts building, met Sam and came home with my first custom. I knew nothing, George Herron was across the room.

Loved going through the Knives Annuals, saw maker Steve Huey and he made me my first custom order, engraved by George Sherwood, retired Winchester engraver.

Beautiful. Wouldn't it be great to be able to go back in time with what you know now??
Even though I can get the DeLorean up to 88mph it still refuses to activate the flux capacitor! 🤣
