šŸ’„Blast from the PastšŸ’„ (unofficial nostalgic older knife thread)

A couple of colorful old timers. The one on the right is a Philippine mountain bolo knife, the one of the left is a put together parts knife made from 19th century parts (blade is an early Mawhood Bros/Sheffield, handle likely taken from a period carving set). Both were made around the same time as heavy duty choppers at opposite ends of the world.

Another EB find that went unsold for some time before the seller accepted my offer . . .

It's a rare ATS-34 G10 Spyderco Terzuola (C15GPS) -- Vintage: 1994-1997:

This completes my C15 Terzuola set which also includes the aluminum black beaded scaled PE & PS models - Vintage 1990-1993 -- of which there are a couple of variations. However, no other variations of the G10 model were ever made:

I believe this to be an early primitive American made knife. The knife is forged and has a slight bend in the blade, but it seems to have seen a lot of use. Unlike, the knives used at processing plants, this one was cared for and not subjected to abusive over sharpening. The only marking on this is the letter ā€œDā€ stamped on the blade on either side of the tang.

My last "old knife", but my first "tactical" knife - an original Spyderco Endura. I bought it in 1994 when my life was falling apart (divorce) and it saw me through a lot of adventures. The original plastic pocket clip snapped a few weeks after I started carrying it, so I sent it back and they put a metal one on (three screws and some kind of glue - its still the most solid clip on any knife I own!). I carried it until 2013 when I retired it. Not flashy, not sexy, but it did what I needed it to do when I needed it to do it.
