Hmmmm... I believe you Chester, just a little confused now. If they are still saying 900-950 I'll take their word, but could there have been that many blems? Jimmer, can you chime in?

Look how many blems you had with other hard to make models out there. Sg2 models, s60V models, Volt...
 
I just received one from KW and it is higher than 1306... Forget the exact #, I'm at work. I'll update later.
 
If the high serial no. Is a reflection of "additionals" needed due to failure we are looking at more than 30% failure rate on a 1000 unit batch.

That's represents a heck of a failure rate, these may have been manufactured at a loss!

OR, the released production number is not limited to 1000 units.

No matter what I love KAI for coming out with this blade! I sure hope they didn't take a loss on this project but if so I appreciate it that much more.
 
waiting on my second one too, from BHQ....wondering if this will be one of the 1000+ serials...what's the number to beat ? :D
