0600 Sighting

\ The handle machining isn't as aggressive as it looks in pictures, the detent and action are perfect, the lock is smooth, lockup and centering are perfect, and the standard carry pocket clip is great!

I was actually surprised at the handle texture, detent and jimping on this one. I remember when Thomas first announced this knife and was giving everyone a warning that it was going to be the antithesis of soft, easy flipping. I find the knife to have a very "melted" feel. The detent is definitely sufficient but I was under the impression the thing was gonna pop neck veins when trying to fire it like the RJ customs. My knife detent is what I feel most people would say is perfect. If you purposely dont want it to lock up you can get it to missfire or with just slightly more effort it will fully lock up. I myself prefer that the detent wont release the blade at all without a guaranteed lock up. Especially with no thumbstuds. Not complaining at all, just observing. Overall the knife is pure win.

Just ordered one of these from Dave. Got it for my brother, whose birthday I just missed, but had it sent to me first so I can play with it a little.

HAd the 600 with me today. I put it on the counter when I got home and my wife, Maggie, was remarking how nice the knife looked.

She put her diamond tennis bracelet on the knife and I tried and tried to get a picture that showed the sparkle from the diamonds.

I will keep trying, I don't remember anyone doing woman's jewelry with man-jewelry before.....

Nice picture Andy - when. I saw it, my first thought was that you buying the knife made it necessary for you to buy the tennis bracelet as a peace offering.... :p

Ha! No, Maggie likes jewelry, coach purses and her Corvette, so my occasional knife splurge seems to be ok by her.

Hope everything is going great for you.

UH, did you contact your Dealer ?????

I did not, sir. Apologies. I really didn't want to make a big deal of it. Jimmer and I spoke and I finally sent it in to him. I'm sure the detent will be a bit of sweetness upon its return.

No question rjm makes some nice looking knives. Have always admired his work...and tony8179's collection of it. Lots of $$$ there. Back on topic, besides HoB, anyone know where I can get one for under msrp?

I've never had a Volt but may have to get one now just for continuity. My favorite flipper outside the ZT0561 is the Zing. That's an incredible little big knife. Now I'll (briefly) have a big big knife. May have to get one for myself.

Well I just took mine out of the box and it is NICE! Everything is just right. It looks even better in person.

My first reaction is the 0600 has a different "feel" than all the other ZT knives I have collected over the years. The others are black or tan, tactical, beefy folders that a military person might have. This one would feel at home at a Yacht Club. :)

Good job to the folks at ZT/Kershaw!
