0801's are shipping!!

Had to turn down Dave KershawGuy on the 0801 preorder since I have a deposit at BHQ. Hope they get theirs soon.

Love full titanium scales. Have a bunch of folders with full titanium scales.

Looks like mine will be delivered tomorrow, I will post some pics and first impressions then if someone doesn't beat me to it.

BHQ is processing orders for the 801 as well. I just got an email from them. :D

My preorder missed out on the first batch from BHQ but after calling them they said it'll go out with next batch in a couple of weeks or so.

Just got my 801! It's a good looking little guy! That's two ZT's for me in three business days! My wallet is hurting! Would take some pics but how do you make them bigger? The last set of pics I posted appeared as thumbnails. That's pointless!

Well, to my surprise it came a day early! I have to say it is pretty much what you would expect from ZT. It flips incredibly smooth with a perfect amount of detente (IMO). Lockup is about 40% on mine without the slightest hint of stickiness. It's overbuilt and tad bit heavy but that is expected. The machining on the scales is done very well, I can't find any defects. I have L-XL hands and can almost get about a four finger grip. It's shaving sharp with only a few very small and insignificant scratches on the blade. The grind is even and the blade centering is spot on.

Well done ZT!

These scales beg to be anodized though.

The one picture is the best I could do while at work. That is a bug on the handle not a defect. :D

Thanks for the pic, that thing looks great! I really hope Bladehq gets the rest of their preorders out soon!

Someone genius in the exchange is trying to flip his 0801 for a profit...

On a regular production model...

Was $250, now $225... I'm guessing he's going to have to get back down towards $192 before it sells.

Great pictures! We haven't had much luck with anodizing Titanium on a production level - it's too hard to get a consistent color from piece to piece. I bet a little color would look good though.

That bug on the handle is probably just looking for flaws in the machining.... :p
