I am just a few postings from the needed amount and have already been to a BH meet up at Ethan's and looking forward to the one next month. Hopefully I qualify but if I don't, I still had a great time fishing with the granddaughter while son in law is in Airborne School!

Ok, So this weekend the wife is working at the hospital, so it's me and the kids kicking it by ourselves...Woke up this morning to my 12 year old playing Skyrim while my 4 year old was watching Netflix on my iPad...I surprised them by telling them to get off of anything electronic, slap on their bathing suits, because we were going to have a cookout by the pool today...It was a breezy 75 degrees today, but the water was just warm enough to stand the initial shock of jumping in...
While waiting for them to get ready, I started on today's feast....Conecuh Spicy Sausage with a little Jack Daniels BBQ and Hotdogs...
BK14 helped out for the day..
All Ready for the Grill...
While I was getting ready, the kids were enjoying the pool area...
Abby Watched out for dropped Sausage
Almost ready to eat..
At this point my camera battery crapped out, so we ate our meal of Sausage, Hotdogs, Potato Salad, Fruit, and Ranch Doritos while the battery Charged...
After we ate the baby wanted to swim some more while my oldest just wanted to chill out next to Dad on the deck...A good time was had by all..
Thanks Thrill for the well thought out contest...Everyone leads busy lives, I know in my household it is...and I have found that it is easy to let a game system, or TV babysit our kids...My wife and I tend to stay active as much as we can with our family, But I asked my 12 year old when the last time that the girls just hung out with Dad, and she said...I think it was that time when you took us to Walmart a while ago....That really sucks. This contest was a slight kick in the pants for me..

Ok, so for my second entry, We took the girls out for a Easter stroll at a park here that has a lot of old country homes and churches and stuff...Also has a nature walk..We also had an Easter Egg hunt for the kids...
Extra Points for getting MeMaw out of the house too....that woman does love her Xbox
(not sure what was up with the camera
Hanging out at the park getting ready to see what's up
Starting the nature trail and checking out the old Buildings...
Checking to see if the Church Bell Rang...it did A LOT!
My main squeeze was able to partake as well...here they are getting ready to head back home for an Easter Egg hunt.
Let the games Begin..
All in all we had an Awesome weekend...We were told that there were no rabid Easter Bunnies running around, so the Bk's stayed sheathed for the afternoon...

My wife and I took our 2 y/o fishing last week. She has a great time reeling the line in. We had to cast tho. She caught her 2nd fish ever!!!!(she caught one last year as well.) She wasn't afraid of it or the wax worms and loved it when she could dig out a new one to hand to me. We did get her a new pole for Easter. The one she was using was her mommies pole when she was little. I didnt take her out for this contest this is just what we do. We are going Morel hunting this weekend!
