So, here we go. The weather was beautiful, i had the day off, my daughter was off of school. I hit the trifecta. So off we went, Loaded them in the Power Wagon to trim trails & shooting lanes & brought the "tub-o-blades' with us to use. Beckers mostly, but they all came with.

Here is the elusive TwinStick Jr. . A very rare sighting indeed. Usually grumpy, hardly ever seen in the woods.

She really liked the BK4. I was happy to get out & show her some spots for hunting & trim some trails & shooting lanes & beat on some blades & have fun. Hope you enjoy.

A little fire time yesterday evening. I didn't realize the wife snapped a pic.

Dang it all. This month has not gone well for me getting the niece and nephew out into the wild. I'm not going to make this contest. Ah, well. Congrats to the winner. :D

Sat Morning - Thwarting a zombie invasion with water guns. Apparently zombies hate water, but I don't know. Yeah, he's dual wielding. :D

Well, let's see if this will work...

Took the boy out to his grandfathers this weekend to do some shooting with his uncle and I. We had to help his grandpa move a safe, so we figured we might as well drag every gun along we could. The boy was a little hesitant to shoot my Sig, but he manned up eventually, and once I used my head I recorded a little of it. This was his first time shooting a 9mm.

And here is the grouping:

Distance was approximately eight meters, give or take a bit. I say he did alright. Made me proud as heck.

I totally meant to snag a pic of his BK11 he was carrying, but I seem to have forgotten to do so. We had a great day outside.

Better throw one in just for the heck of it.

Took my grandson fishing at a friends place. He caught two 18inch rainbow trout on his little Spider Man fishing pole. I put a few pieces of corn on and he had one hit before my wife could even turn the camera on.

Went to sell some knives at a sponsored youth turkey hunt this last weekend but none of the hunters came through the vending area. I also taught hunter ed for 10 years in Wisconsin and I gotta say getting all those kids out to the woods is a highlight of my life.

I will close this in ~13 hours
Great entries so far people! I've enjoyed seeing all the outdoor fun!

Yearly youth turkey hunt. This year it happened to be all family. The turkey's didn't cooperate very well, but there were other hiking and hill climbing adventures:
This is the day before season, setting up one of the blinds:

And this is one of the after hunt activities... wall climbing :)

Man it was good to get out and hear the early morning gobbles again!

Thanks for the awesome contest. Great idea!

I am not posting this for consideration for the prize, but I believe in getting kids outdoors. So in the spirit of celebrating Thrill's ideals, I wanted to share this.

While I cannot post any pictures due to Troop and BSA rules, I am the Scoutmaster of a 60+ boy troop in my home town. We camp every month except August. Its just too hot, and it is our annual planning/training time. We participate in Summer camp, (that's a week long) and high adventure camps. We are going to sea base again this year. (that's five days on the water). I know Derek is involved in Scouting and a few, like Oxide are Scouts.

Rather than be a contestant for Thrill's giveaway, let me use this to encourage anyone that has ever thought about it, to be a part of the Scouting program. Do it for your kids, do it for your friends kids. Start with Cubs, (6 years old and/or First grade). It is a family program. Camp and participate with the wife (or husband, for you ladies) and siblings. Then move to Boy Scouting. Your get to see young boys become young men, instill values, and learn self confidence and leadership.

It takes the volunteers to provide the program, and put the OUT in scOUTing.

thanks for the forum - off the soapbox...
Doc

and for the hell of it I drew for a second place winner.....

and I swear to god the number it spit out was #14!!! Look in the thread to see why that is funny.

so I ran the numbers again, and hit on #52 so IAHunter, send me ur addy...I have a lil something I think you will appreciate.

Congrats Jonny, and thanks thrill for the cool contest!

Doc, you are completely right. If you guys enjoy the outdoors, and enjoy taking your kid with you, you are more than cut out to be a leader in Scouting. You can never have too many leaders. Our Troop is about 30 strong (on a good day) and while we have a fair number of adult leaders, there are still times where we could use more adults. Get out there and help Scouting! Or Doc'll get ya!

Thanks Thrillbilly! First time ever to place in a contest.

I liked the idea of the contest as well.

Wow!! Thanks Thrill!! This was a very cool contest. And thanks for the awesome Maxped!!

Email sent with addy. Thanks again.
