Correct me if I am wrong. I think the one that I satined is the 3rd one from the left. I can tell because the primary bevel is thinner than the rest in that pic.
 
actually the one you did is not in this picture. But it is the same style clip so you picked the right clip.
 
Oh well, no cigar :o At least I picked the right clip;) I didn't realize you have that many 1/300 SHBMs :D But that 3rd one is thinner than the rest from the look of the edge bevels.

Yes it is my understanding that the heat treat is a bit harder on the Early INFI knives, but there is more to it than that, but that is Jerry's Story to tell not mine.

I have Heard the glass like quality in a few slotted bolt SHBMs as well, my first Battle Mistress was like that, it also got sharper after I chopped with it a bit, now that was a new thing to me at that time.

Yes, I have had several like that. That one in particular is now owned by resinguy, but I have another just like it still coated.

So far every SHBM I have used has had that resharpen itself quality, very wierd.

few swigs from the JWB bottle to put that one to a grinder. :D :D

That is one sweet looking 1 of 300!!!

Just promise that you will never put a swedge grind like this on a non 1 of 300.
No need to mix them up. :)

I agree that people should not be duplicating exact knives basically turning them into fakes, unless they plan on keeping them forever for their own use.

I am glad that Ban did not drink JWB when he worked on mine. He was worried enough as it was because he did not want to damage this knife. Probably the most expensive knife he's worked on so far. That is why I was not worried, because I knew he would be working with pucker factor:D

I am sure I can duplicate that 1/300 swedge if I really wanted to.....Considering how collectible and coveted these SHBMs are.....I will NEVER put a 1/300 swedge on a regular SHBM.

All bets are off for other knives :D

A nice group of knives, I have wondered at time how many different Handle/finish/swedge/handle fastener/thickness variations there are in the Straight Battle Mistress line.

Looks to be Many

Thanks Andre, I'm down to three SHBM's now though...Cobalt has many of my others..:p I've come down to my final 3 that are going NOWHERE :D I've got one that's exactly like the one Ban Modded and two other 1/300's both of which are the ribbed micarta/slotted screw variation...one's a user. Out of all the SHBM's I've had, the 1/300's have had the thinnest edges. My Favorite knife!!! I know you're seen quite a few pass through your collection!

Just make sure Pbubsy does not get a hold of it. I just traded some knives with him and my dog keeps on licking one of the knives and gets very horny, so I am not so sure where that knife has been.:eek: seriously:eek:

No, it didn't break me. It was just a pain in the arse. I am sure that it would be much easier next time around. But I must admit that the initial pucker factor was pretty intense :D

BTW, Hogwash just tried walking away with your knife. I had to guard the exit with my FABM :p

well, we know that him and jaax are stalkers, but I was almost sure that I rubbed Amy's scent off that knife, when she was over the other night.
