yea, it looks like an extremely nice bit of kit.

i can see how it would work great comboed with a small fixed blade and a folding saw.

Thank you for the great review!

Is it possible to get a pic looking at the top of the head down on the eye?

Fonly- great review. I put in my order and it should be here by next week.

tholiver- I found one on the web Here

Thanks man, im sure you will be happy if your looking for one, this and a folder would handle any woods tasks that you could come by, but, I allways carry more than I need.:D

Added a few more pics here guys, I wanted to compare to a folding saw.

Folding saw took 4 minutes and 15 seconds.

The hatchet took 2 minutes and 43 seconds.

Plus, this is where the hatchet is better than the folding saw in my book, after I cut the log, I split it up, made fuzz sticks and had all the materials needed for a fire. Sure a saw, batonable fixed blade could do this, but I would rather have the multipul choices of the axe in one package that could be re handled, where a saw is broke, its broke, same as a knife, still serviceable but I would rather take my chances with making a handle.

Also did OK with notching, I would prefer a knife to it, but it would do in a pinch.

thanks for the updates man,

definetly got one of those on my shopping list.

Darn!

Now I'm going to have to buy one! ;)

I bought the 16" Wetterlings last year and really like it. The tiny one looks sooo handy and packable, I guess I'm going to be forced to get one.

Stay sharp,

Thats what brought me to it, I like just being about to take this a SAK if I want light, but still very capable combo, but then I'm left with howevermany fixed blades sitting home thinking I should have brought one, I wish I could just take everything with me.:D

Ugh! You're killin me Fonly!!! I had just finished telling myself to be content with what I have. :D

Haha, thats the only thing I hate about going to local shops, I allways find a reason to come home with a new toy.:D

thanks! it rings true. i always want to buy a buncha gear but hesitate on it either for monetary reasons or whatever. but when you get that bit of kit and go out to play with it in the woods its a great feeling :D
