I reviewed the large blue Case Sodbuster Workman Series; I hadn't seen the old site, but this one looks great.

I'd like number 3777.

I understand that it is costing me business, and am really looking for a solution that simply would not consume my family life. But, this is where I am at right now and the one downside is that I have all these extra stag knives in my vault right at the time when the premium on stag is getting significantly larger :D But I will keep trying to find an economical way to solve the problem.

This is not an entry.

Take the pictures of stag knives placed on a mirror. If done right, you get no light reflection from natural light, backlight lights, camera flashes, etc.. If necessary, get some professional help until you get the process down pat. Knives photographed in this manner show the pile side just as good as the mark side or in other words - bottom side/top side. A good picture will show all the details of both sides of the knife. Don't laugh at an old man's input until you try it. I've seen it done with great results.

Anyway, the only negative thing I have to say about your new site is that you want your customers to set up an account. I don't like doing that and hope that I can do my purchases via PayPal or as a guest without going through all the rigmarole of setting up an account.

Just received my first knives from you today and love them so wanted to leave a review for each, gec 15 eo and gec 71.

My numbers:

561
1116

Thanks for the opportunity.

That is a good idea, but only works on one knife. Actually my bigger issue is preparing, taking, cropping, uploading, pictures for 15 stag knives of the same run. As far as front/back, that just doubles the work - which is not that bad; and I generally will take front / back if the back is significantly different than the front (and I haven't already sent it out the back door).

No account required. But it sure makes it easier and still doesn't store any financial information.

Mike,

The way the reviews work now, are they only for the single listing? In other words, will the review I left for the #33 SFO Ebony Prototype "disappear" once that knife sells?

Maybe the reviews for a pattern# should show up for every listing in that pattern.
Seems like you will lose most of your reviews as soon as the current listings sell.

I have been thinking about that, and you are correct. When it sells out and disappears - so does the review. But no work around for that right now.

Make up a separate folder with sub-folders in your computer. Cut and paste/copy and paste each review to them. You can even make a separate folder for each brand (GEC, Queen, etc.) and a sub-folder for each frame in that folder. Sounds like a lot of trouble but that's what I do for my photos. Of course you don't include this folder in your site - keep it as a separate work folder in your computer.

I hope that makes sense. Of course it makes sense to me but then again I'm getting close to my "Best if Used By" date.

Yes, I know it only works for one knife but should you ever decide to take pictures of multiple knives, you would only need two pictures of each knife if photographed with a mirror as the background - one picture with markside up/pile side down and one picture with well side up/spine side down.

Anyway just a thought. For me, your site is a tad more tedious that the old one but I'll manage. Thanks for your effort and service.

Not competing. I like your site and your products but as I am out of US, I am also out of the game. You have gorgeous knives on offer, that's sure.

Congratulations sir, and thanks for the compilation work. Look forward to seeing what you choose :)

Thanks again for a great giveaway Mike. Hope your business goes from strength to strength
