I've always figured myself for a read more, post less kind of guy. But after a fair chunk of time I've finally reached 2000 posts. To commemorate the event, I'm giving away the two knives in the pic. Random number generator - to two folks.

#1 is a GEC Tidioute Missouri Trader, Lockback in ebony. Slightly carried, but one of my favorite patterns discovered by hanging out here.

#2 is a Northfield Three Backspring Montana Whittler in Natural Stag, my other favorite pattern.

Open to anyone with more than 25 posts in the Traditional Forum, shipping anywhere (I'll figure out how to get it to you).

Your first post # is your entry - just say I'm in!

And - let me know where you were in life 11-1/2 years ago. Pics if you got em. Or a pic of your two favorite knife patterns.

I was newly married, job I hated, 120# heavier than I am right now. No kids, bad car.

Still married. =) everything else since then has changed!

11-1/2 years ago. Just had moved in with the wife. Still together. Easy job but no money. Worked a 2nd and 3rd job most of the time. 4 kids.

Now. One hard job but really good money. One kid grown and married, two about to graduate. One teenage daughter.

Somehwere in between I became addicted to knives. :D

Thanks for the chance to win! I've always wanted to try these patterns! Thanks for the opportunity! I'm in

Working a new job, living in a travel trailer, freezing my rear end off.

And thanks for the opportunity:)

I'm in.

11.5 years ago, I was working constuction in the southern heat for very little money. I did not finish high school because I was too busy doing what I wanted to do and not what I needed to do. I was married for a little over 6 month at that time. We lived in a small apt. that we rented.

Now I have a collage degree and only work in the heat for myself/wife. Been married for a little over 12 years now. I am a lot closer to God and have a great relationship with Him. My wife and I are working on starting a family now. We are in the process of moving back to the town we were born in, and getting back to a more simple life. We want to more dependant on ourselves, and less on buying things from the store. We now own two homes, God has blessed us a lot over the years.

Thank you for the chance to win an awsome knife.

Wow, 11-1/2 years ago, memory lane stuff.
I was 25 then, already working in IT. Still trying to cope with the bursting of the .com bubble a few years before.
Had to sell a lot of stuff back then because the cash flow really dropped (went from $400/hr to $20/hr in less than a year). Hard times.

As I do not have any photos of that time digitalized I'll go with my two favorite knife patters (as of now):

I´m in - thanks for the chance :)

11.5 years ago I was staring my job i. e. education on these. It was a hard time as I moved from the countryside where I grew up to the Big City Munich school was quiete difficult. I hated the time there and I´m glad being back again at home. Ever sindce I started my job I worked in this. I was single at that time but on the search ;) Good enough that it´s over.

Great to see some folks' experience years ago and through the years.

Back then, I had finished my 4 year degree, and was starting a family, and considering law school.

I'm in, Thanks!

I'm in. In November 2002 I was on the downhill slope to retiring from the Army but about to deploy to Kuwait for the follow-on invasion of Iraq four months later.

Congrats on 2k. 11 plus yrs ago I was 2 plus yrs into our start up business with no idea it would end up as well as it has today, 20lbs lighter and no where near the aches and pains I feel today.

I wouldn't trade it for the world where we are now;)

Please count me in and thank you for the chance:thumbup:
