11 1/2 years ago I was filing my retirement papers and packing up for Florida. Oh yea did I mention I was getting divorced too? They were the best two moves I've ever made!

11 1/2 years ago I was 2 1/2 years into a ten-year stint at my old job (much better paying and better job than what I have now, but the plant was closed in 2010).

Probably my favorite pattern right now is the GEC 73

I'm in. Now staying with family, two boys that want to get into scouting. 'Any prize for me will go to a gift for one of them.:)

Great GAW! Please include me. Thanks ~

I'm going to show a pic of my 2 favorite knives. Right now I'd say its the GEC 92 and the GEC 48 patterns that do it for me.

I'm in and thanks for the opportunity.

11.5 years ago I was in a wonderful long term marriage, working at a job I loved and enjoying my grandchildren. Things went to hell shortly thereafter and I'm still trying to recover. No wife, no house, no career and grandkids moved out of state.

Thanks! I'm in.

Back then I was in grad school--working on my second Masters & PhD. Good times.

I'm in. 11 1/2 years ago I had just retired from the Denver Fire Department, and still loving every minute of it. I guess I'm just a born slug. Thanks for the chance to play.

Wonderful giveaway! 11.5 years ago i was working at a ski resort in Maine. That was a trip! And that was before i collected knives!

Strangely enough (this being Memorial Day weekend) 11 1/2 years ago I was a Army Reservist mobilized to Ft Leonard Wood, MO. We were supposed to get the heavy Engineer equipment ready, shipped, and then go open the port facilities in Turkey to receive it so it would arrive in Iraq. Needless to say it didn't work out quite like it was planned. Still, it started one of the stranger periods on my life. Now, three combat tours later, I still have a hard time believing just how much everything has changed.

I'm the bigger one in the photo. We're laughing because we just left sunny Southern California, we're stuck in Missouri, and what the heck, it could always be worse.

I think that Montana whittler is my dream knife. 11.5 years ago I had just moved to the East Coast from the Southwest and was having quite a culture shock as a result. Thanks for the chance, I'm in!

Congrats's on you time here, 11.5 years ago I had no clue about knife collecting or BF, I was just happy with my fishing companion, a Schrade LB7.

(The knife problem came later, directly related to finding Blade Forums)

Very nice Giveaway! I'm in please! 11.5 yrs ago I was in college. Studying something I didn't like and would never have a job in hah! But still the best time of my life:)

The knife bug had hit me probably 10 years before that even. Thanks for the generous chance

I am in. thanks for the chance! goodness it could take me a while to get to 2k posts. guess you all will see a giveway of this sorts by the time I retire! lets see 11 1/2 I was about 8. that's when I first really started working with my dad in landscaping and carpentry. that helped me gain the patience and the ability to keep calm. weve all had those time when we have worked on something for hours only to find out we did something wrong in the beginning and had to start over. fun stuff! today I do my own landscaping business. not a big thing but it sure as heck helps to fund college, future building my own family, future knife purchases!

Im in! 11 1/2 years ago I was a young dumb 15 year old kid in school chasing girls. Thanks for the chance!

Please count me in.

11 and 1/2 years ago I was getting settled into my present day home. Might have been almost ready to meet my future wife. Mainly working my butt off and trying to get bills paid - while buying toys because I wasn't married yet! My how things have changed. Don't think I want to go back though. A good woman will do that to you.
