11/11 update ..... it starts with ME and ends with I

Is this where you put the PBR?

ok, just kidding, looks nice, congrats, but is that a seat and how do you get it out of your butt after riding it?

looks dangerous to me!

.

Looks dangerous, but I find the Arione saddle more comfortable than my couch. Maybe I need a new couch though...

Hey Ron,
we have more in common than our love of ABA's...I picked this up about a month ago to replace my old LiteSpeed
(Put on some Candy 2-Ti pedals to match my MB)

do you have to wear those black skin tight shorts with the jersey and all the advertising to ride a machine like that?

As I have wanted to tell so many women at Wal-Mart, "Lycra is not your friend!"

WOW, that's one sweet bike. I bet it weighs next to nothing.

I just recently got into road cycling and started to train for a 150 mile ride coming up. Not that it even compares but his is what I got.

Wolf,

NICE BIKE

I have had a Serotta in their shop for about nine months that will be super cool if they ever finish it :grumpy:

I like Serotta's bikes and they ride better than any othe bike I have been on but they are not silly light bikes.

So I's say 15lbs 11 oz.

:thumbup::thumbup:

PS I'm buying one of these this week

Awesome bike! Love that carbon fiber!

I'm more in for mountainbiking. I used to do some freeride/downhill.

Now I building up my Cannondale Raven II frame. It needs to go for inspection of the carbon fiber frame but I managed to score some XTR parts for it and I'm looking for a lefty. I will also post some pics when it's finished.

pfft, Huffy, circa 1980, for the win... ;)

nice bike.

I used to ride road and lots of cross country mountain but now I'm (more or less) strictly into downhill.

Hey Ken,

Nice looking bike. The Madone is nice and I simply prefer other bike makers over Trek. I would wager a large sum though that your frame weighs less than mine. Hopefully you will have ample fun riding it for a long time.

Hi orrey45,

Nice start!! It is not just about the bike ..... it is even more about the ride. For me it is a way of life and about enjoying the time spent out on the road.

Ron

. . . . .

Now both of you ... ride ... ride some more ... and then continue to ride some more. Enjoy the bikes!!

BTW, I personally am still a traditionalist when it comes to bike geometry ... no sloping top tube for me ... thank Giant for that great marketing scheme. :thumbdn:

Hey Tony,

Yea, sure this is not the lightest frame on the planet .... there is Parlee, IF, Crumpton and others that make lighter frames ... BUT they don't quite compare to the ride quality, the full customization capabilities of Serotta, and most importantly the overall craftmanship (yes even Parlee doesn't compare here IMO)... NOT to mention the fact that there is a simple little UCI regulation about minimum overall bike weight.

My Ottrott SE was the best riding bike prior to this one. The Ottrott is still a bit smoother on rough roads but the responsiveness and handling of the Meivici is so super nice. The ride quality is just hard to describe.

Hopefully yours will be back in time for some great spring riding.

P.S. You are not even close on the weight. :p

Well you know I love bikes  think I have 9 or 10 :o

The one back there now is one of the last luged steel frames they made. I got it in the mid-late '90s and it is being repainted. Dark blue with white panels.
