I put a $20 bill in a coffee can each week.....and I wait for that darn email....like a fat duck flying over
a blind when it shows up too...dog fly's off the lap, TV controller lands on the floor...wife yelling "What!?!...What!?!....then I tell her, I just scored anudder sharp thingy out of the BUCK orphanage. Then comes the epic eye rolls......Women...they just don't get it....

maybe that's all the steel they had for this run?
It isnt the last we will see. Keep an eye out for Damasteel, Supersteels, ETC type blades. I think Buck is brilliant in all of the steel choices they are and will offer for the Buck 110 and 112. it honestly keeps people checking the site, getting registered with Buck dealers for new products etc.

After reading this post I'm even more glad I ordered one. I wanted to give the new steel a try so I ordered one. Personally I'm glad Buck is expanding their line of blade steels. Sure 420HC is an ok budget steel. But in my opinion the old 440C that buck used years ago was better. I've talked to some folks at buck about why they don't use 440C anymore and apparently it is a sourcing issue. I also picked up 2 of the Buck of the month for April with S35VN. I already had the S30V version so it'll be interesting to see how they compare.

I got mine today and I'm very happy with it. It came super gritty as has become the norm but after a quick bath it was good to go!

Does S45VN machine and sharpen as easily and as well as S30V and S35VN?

I think it splits the difference and will become the new standard super steel.

I hope Buck makes the 110 Slim Pro in S45VN with a red or orange micarta handle. That would be just about perfection.

That knife is a beauty, sometimes as a Buck collector I feel im left out because I'm Not able to get a lot of the nice knives others can get.Why would they only make 88 ?

This is a subject that chafs my butt routinely.
It's one thing for a collector to purchase 1 or 2. But when you see them relisted for a 50 to 100% (or more) mark-up trying to resell them........
Folks like that keep folks like you from obtaining items, and I find it discouraging, no despicable.
Especially when folks blatantly do it here on a collector forum.
Disagree if you want..... I enjoy the brotherhood in this forum, and I would hope folks could rise above that.

I don't believe there was a limit on the number of these you could purchase. I could be wrong. By the the time I got there the limit was zero.

Want badly! I have 110's and similar in a bunch of steels except that. I will be watching from now on.

The problem really isn't the flippers/scalpers, as distasteful as they are, its the people willing to pay the inflated prices. If nobody bought them at the inflated prices, people would stop trying to do that.
