112 LT

I've bought 2..One is in Texas for Oak Burl but the first one is MIA here at the house. My granddaughter had a sketchy boyfriend who 'might' have borrowed it .Stephen, I considered your Lil'Jack to be the best bargain in the 112 for years! I realize I'm a fan of the 112 but I don't understand why the D2 112 didn't fly off the shelves. Its the only 112 made with D2...Folks do like matching 110/112's so a 112 LT like the Smoke Jumper or the new blue one..

It's too bad that 112s don't sell well. The 112 was my first Buck and still my favorite. The 110 is just a bit big and heavy for my needs although I know I'm in the minority with that view.

I wonder what Buck will do about a sheath for the 112lt since a nylon one doesn't exist already.

When they had the ecolite/paperstone 112, they came with a nylon sheath. Identical to the 110 in looks, but smaller in size.
I wish they would make them like the 1st version bucklite sheaths. It seems like it would be cheaper? Looking on the Bucklite thread, some of those sheaths are pretty cool themselves.

Yes they do; currently available on the Buck website at $10 each.

Well I guess that answers that question. I had no idea they existed. Cool. A 112lt should be pretty pocketable but the option of a sheath is nice since there's no pocket clip.

If they let me get my hands on it, it's a possibility! However, 112s don't really sell from what I've seen. I had my 112s displayed for the BCCI, and not one person picked it up to look at it. Also, until we severely dropped the cost of the Lil Jack (creating a break even for us) they didn't move a wink.
Well daRn. :(
I guess that means no reorder on the Lil' Jack. :(
I'm glad I got two before they sold out.
My first Custom/SFO knife and my first 112. :D

(The second was my nephew/godson's high school graduation present. I figured he deserves one, since he worked so hard.
Graduated with honors, and at age eleven.:) )

Even if it's not reordered if you want another one will show up on Ebay. I have the feeling the Lil'Jack will be be one of the Bucks that got little respect when it came out but will be treasured as one of the best variations of the 112 in the years to come. D2 and BG42 are considered the best super steels by many and SK's is the only D2 112 ever made.

The lil Jack has beautiful scales, but I don't like the flat grind on that blade. It was too thick behind the edge and it doesn't really work for me. I love 112's and wanted this one to be a favorite, but it just sits....

I avoid eBay even more so than The Plague, the NYC Metro area, Washington, DC, Mexico, and The People's Republic of California.

No Pay Pal, so I can't buy anything there anyway.
Last I knew, PayPal was the only payment method eBay would allow sellers to take.

I agree that the Lil' Jack is presently overlooked, and will gain in popularity in the near future.

It looks better than I imagined. Can't wait.

Any update on release? The pictures on the site have us salivating. :D

No nail nick..Far out ! I'm ready for every color and variation. Under 3 oz too..

It has a thumb stud,so a nail nick would be redundant.

It also appears to be a 450/482 blade that never had nail nick but it did have a thumb stud.

10 different 112's counting all colors and variations ..Wow !!
I just don't know what to think. Thanks Buck! After so many years of seemingly second class status the 112 is breaking out. I'm really looking forward to all the choices..

A lot of the vatiations seems to be on the thinner version (slim). One of the reasons I carry the 110 and 112 is because I like the handle width. Still, it's nice to have options.

It would also be nice if Buck offered a removable pocket clip for the 112/110 LT that worked with the lanyard hole instead of having to do a Leatherman mod.
