Is that a first for you?
or have you done it on a fat Camp Blood so the knife won't be handle heavy (like some other knives I own)?
What's the theory on tapering vs drilling the tang to take out weight and shift the balance? I can imagine that drilling is easier, but tapering maximizes weight loss at the end of the handle, which may be desirable to give the right 'feel' to the knife.
