I was just screwing with you, dude. I hear what you're saying, and it's one reason I want to put a rail on the gun. Especially since the Omega is continuous with the rail on the receiver, it should give the gun a little better line to the eye, including tying in that gas block a little more. This gun is not exactly like mine, but the pic gives an idea of what I'm talking about.

When I went with my impulse buy, my options were a Bushie Optics Ready Carbine, a Bushie with fixed carry handle, and the S&W I have. Mind you, this was just prior to the election, and Academy Sports still had their standard prices. Three weeks later, the rifles had gone up a couple hundred each.
 
Tell me where I can get an EOTech for $300 and all will be forgiven. :p :D
