For the most part, I don't get hung up on type of steel. Would s7 have broke the same way?

I think in that same grind it might have. Only S7 I have is in a SY Dogfather, but that stuff can take a beating...

Gravel-
go with the .45 if you have the option. I hated glocks when i started, but have been carrying a glock 21 for 5 yrs and love it. I've had kimber 1911's, custom 1911's, h&ks, etc and cant shoot anything better than the glock. have the extra rounds over a 1911 is nice too. its funny at training when there is a hold up on the line, its always a 1911(mag change, malfunction, etc).
i switched our dept out of the glock 22's and 23's and into 21sf's this fall and the officers couldn't be. the .40 is very "snappy" with recoil. it wants to twist out of your hands, especially on rapid fire drills. this is due to ammo companies taking a smaller projectile(.40 cal) and speeding it up to equal the ballistics of a slower/heavier round(.45 cal). according to Glock, the 21 has 30% less recoil that the 22 :) you can definitely tell when you shoot them side by side. i added arredondo +4 mag extensions, to bring the mag capacity to 17!

In my humble opinion......

At&t's network is dog shit. I keep waffling between 3g and e for no good reason.

blakem gets S-7

CRUCIBLE S7
(AISI S7)

Crucible S7 is a shock-resistant air hardening tool steel, designed for high impact resistance at relatively high hardness. It offers toughness to withstand chipping and breaking, combined with high attainable hardness and good wear resistance.

Well, if your getting some skinny S7, you can make my machete. ;)
