120th Anniversary BK98 Becker Tuko

They could do it in 440C pretty cheap, I'd trust Ka Bar to get the Heat treat right. That's a steel that's pretty well shook out.

It’s funny this isn’t a knife I love. I was lucky to get one. Mine is sitting in the box with my other Beckers.

I didn’t love this one when it came out and I just pulled it out yesterday to look at it. Still doesn’t sing to me.

Me neither, at least not for the price I paid. I won't use it. I keep it and sell it to bail one of my boys out of jail someday.
It's gotta be one of the lowest production # Becker knives released to the public. I feel like only Bladite might know.

Where's he been lately?

Mine lives in my kitchen and gets a lot of use there. I wish I had another.

OFFICIAL_KA-BAR OFFICIAL_KA-BAR , amazing that it’s been five years already. I used it tonight for Valentine’s Day to make this instant pot Thai chicken soup, it was slamming (and I scored some points with my wife)…

With age, the bone linen micarta has bleached and actually looks like bone.

I’ll gladly buy three more.

I regret not getting one of these. I was however wise enough to get the set of the Becker/ESEE kitchen knives a few years before this one came out...

i regret not buying more ... backups? at least as gifts. if not investments :D

I bought one initially and used it. It worked well, but I ended up letting mine go. I dont remember who it went to. I dont regret buying it or selling it. Along with GeofS GeofS I would love to see a BK15 in this same steel and handle.

It’s debatable, but I’d argue a 125th anniversary is more prestigious than a 120th. It’s a perfect time for a new State and Union special edition release!

I’d even take a BK99 “big brother” camp knife in s35vn with matching bone linen micarta scales.

The 98 is the best knife in my kitchen :thumbsup: I would like to see more Beckers in S35vn steel come out. Been a long time and nothing new:oops:

Just because I know I should don't mean I always do....

There are quite a few around here who have told me they have never sold a knife (And I mostly believe them). Sometimes I wish that was my story but I always seem to be chasing the new girl in the red dress when she shows up...

98 never really appealed to me, in the sense that I knew the handle would be too small.

I was bummed when they sold out the day before I got my funds together, and I wouldn't mind having one now - but the prices I've seen for used ones, I'm not willing to pay.

What did they Originally go for? I remember it seeming Crazy expensive, but now lately with our high inflation that old price is probably just close to "normal knife" prices? :/

Just found my old email invoice from April 26, 2018. It was $200. All in with tax and shipping was $238.98. Not cheap, but fairly priced.
