1471 Post Giveaway... We have a winner!. Congrats RetiredGuns!

Don't own a single cs. If I win I'll take it out in the woods and put it through the ringer. If I still feel the same way about it I'll pass it along to someone who does. If I do like it I'll post a thread of shame. I love how every one says sir and ma'am in the south. So polite!

- I don't own or have a CS knife.
- I would like to win one and in the spirit you suggest, give it a good workout.
- I've lived most of my life in the south (Florida and the Carolinas) What's best about the South is the mostly laid back (read slow) lifestyle of folks, and their willingness to be friendly and helpful.

Thanks for the offer!

Well, I was born and raised in TX what can I say? Love the climate, love the out doors in the south. Currently I'm in New Mexico and loving it here too. I ordered two CS once when living overseas, but they were stolen by someone at the post office Such is life, live and learn.

I love the south for the awesome people. I am not a cold steel hater as much as a cold steel fanboy hater.

Never owned a cold steel. Didn't care much for the tacticool look. However I love southern women and I'd give CS a crack with a free one. Thanks

Hell add me to the list. You just can't beat the good food, great music, and friendly folks in the south.

Don't own a CS knife.. Had a catch and release Recon1 Tanto a lil while ago.. I did always want to try out the med voyager.. Thx for the chance!!!

1. I do not own a single CS knife, or product. I have nothing against them, Emerson beat out CS for myself and the deciding factor was that Emerson is American made.

2. While I do not hate AUS8, I do not like it, either.

3. I was never much of of a tanto fan, the Emerson mini CQC 15 is softening my heart a bit with it's modified tanto point.

Having said that, please, count me in! I would enjoy putting it through it's paces and posting an opinion from a truly "neutral" beginning source. I would likely forward the contest after testing and review, for another to have the opportunity at either changing their bias, or forming an opinion. (After sharpening and cleanup, of course.)

My review of the South... go ahead and try to remove me! Warm weather makes for great bathing suits and shorty shorts on all of the beautiful ladies. In the south you will find the very best of Cajun and Creole foods, not to mention BBQ, Mexican and TexMex dishes!

As long as you aren't a felon and can pass the CHL class, you can tote your friendly neighborhood .45 anywhere, as long as it's not a school, government building, or bar. Locally, we have nicely lax knife laws, you can pack up to a 5" fixed blade EDC! Hell, at that rate, why you even need a length restriction if a BK-2 is EDC, is beyond me???

For those that have not been to Texas, you should visit for a local beer, Shiner! I have not found one to top their taste, or seasonal selections! Oh, NO snow! Many evergreens so the hikes are nice, no matter the time of year!

OK, that's enough, I'm hijacking the thread to say "count me in!", and thank you for the opportunity...y'all!

I'm in and I don't like cold steel so I will be happy to beat the crap out of that as hard as I can, more than any other knife I own (Swamp rats, Himalayan imports, Ka-bar, etc). And I definitely will not sugar coat it when I write the reviews. I'm also the kind that would rather be given a free cold steel to beat the crap out of it than to buy and own one (all the ones I used to buy and own, I gave it away or sold it without any "real" abuse as I am always left unimpressed when I got it and when I started realizing how wide open and more high standard the knife field was over Cold Steel).

As for the south(west), I love Arizona intensely, such a harsh beautiful outdoor country. Plus I was born there.

Lets see myself not winning this. :p

Never owned a CS knife so count me in...I love the music that the south has born, and the unique scenery! I enjoyed Florida and southern GA.

I've never owned a CS knife but I'm not a "hater" either.

I haven't had a chance to really visit the south much but I do have some friends down there and I think I would love the scenery and climate quite a bit.

Thanks for the chance!

Don't currently own a CS, but I'm interested......

I went to college and lived in the South in the 90's and loved it.....never wanted to leave. (Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA).
Spent significant time or lived in various areas including: N. & South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee (Nashville's a fun place)!
What I loved the most is what was common to pretty much every area I was in; and that would be the hospitality. It's not just a cliche', the folks in the South (those born and raised there, at least) were as courteous as could be. The calm pace of life and the agreeable personalities suited me just fine. Even the bigger cities had a small-town feel. My wife (also born and raised in Pittsburgh), spent time in the South, too,. We both look forward to moving back some day.

OH, and Pig-Pickin's.....love me a good Pig-Pickin'!!!

Thanks for the opportunity and for stirring up some good memories!

I'd love to have a CS knife as a beater! I don't have and hate cs handle builds. I'd love to beat cs to death, just to see if it's really what they all say it is..

But sadly I'm canadian and fall outside your rules.

I don't own a CS, and like you, I haven't been impressed enough to spend the money on one. Ditto for tanto blades. But, for free, I'm absolutely willing to use it hard and put up a review.

Something I love about the south is... Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC. This place is a warrior-making factory, turning snot nosed teenagers into men and women respected (and feared) around the world.

Never owned a cold steel, even though I just got very close to trading for one.

My favorite thing about the south is a 50/50 split between the pretty ladies and the sunny weather :)

Best,
Peter

Thanks For The Great Give Away!
I Don't Own A Cold Steel And Never Have.
I'd Love To Try Out The Voyager And Give A Review.
So I'm In.
The Thing I Love About The South - All Of The Awesome Southern Accents!

I currently don't own any Cold Steel knives but I have in the past and depending on which product they are selling some are very nice and some are really crappy. I had a Carbon V Master Hunter which was stolen and a Carbon V TwistLock drop point which I traded away years ago and regret. Both were great knives.

Since I live pretty much as far south as you can get I love the long hunting seasons and that pretty much applies to all the southern states. I despise snow or the extreme cold weather of the north. In most of the South the gun laws are great and favor sportsmen for the most part.

Since you are looking for haters I hate tanto points since I think that mostly they are good for stabbing and not much else. Maybe scraping gum off the bottom of your shoes with that chisel like point. Maybe winning that knife may convince me of other uses but not likely. I would probably end up reprofiling it eventually into a drop point and make it into a skinner blade.:D

Thank you for the opportunity and the giveaway.

I actually don't hate their knives... just the fact their advertising seems to show off the "tactical" aspect of the knife, or the killing power. I mean, why not test on seatbelts to show it can save lives? Anyways, I'm in. I don't know if California counts as south, but my parents were in Arizona, and I went there for a Philmont trip a few years back. Amazing beautiful place. And the weather's nice, and the sun, and of course, Philmont was just an astonishing place to hike.
