Merry christmas to us :D

Beautiful pics guys!!! Mine says its still in spokane as well, but expected delivery is tomorrow. I am impatiently waiting :D

Well mine came today---one was solid black handle, and the other one was blacl om one side and had some light areas on the other. Neat, I so like both. Fantastic deal. Glad I jumped on them when they 1st became available. Black handles---shiney brass bolsters---SHARP---no pun intended.

Mine came in today also. Nice, shiny, and sharp as heck. If I had bought this a month ago, it would have saved me a few hundred bucks on other knives I've bought since then. Oh well, can't have too many knives. :-) Here are some pics:

Got mine today and it's most excellent. Centered blade, shaving sharp, tight lockup, no blade play and the blade markings aren't too low, about normal really. It's a little stiff but I added a few drops of 3 in 1 oil and have been working it. Might try brake cleaner and or hot water to flush the pivot if it doesn't loosen up with use. Over all another great knife from those folks in Idaho. Thanks Buck!

There's finally been a couple listed on the auction site. One is the stock version and the other one has had the scales replaced with Sambar and had some file work done. I took longer for them to show up than I figured it would. Some of the cow bone 110's were on there right away.

Definitely a great knife and a great bargain. Question: I haven't bought a 110 since ~1971/72. :D I was surprised at how "melted" the corners of the bolsters are on this compared to my old 110. Was there a point in time when this changed?

Now those most recent photos show it off.
What is "Diamondwood"? A trademark name for a generic wood?

It's "Dymondwood", a trademarked name for a product of Rutland Plywood.
From the Rutland Plywood site:
Sometimes refererred to by the generic name of COMPREG, DymondWood® is a highly engineered wood/plastic composite, that has the physical and mechanical properties of high density hardwood, acrylic, polycarbonate plastics and brass. Here, brightly dyed northern hardwood veneers are combined with engineering grade resins, heat and pressure to create a product that has the best characteristics of each. DymondWood® is distinguished by its unique strength, durability, dimensional stability, and weather and moisture resistance as compared to regular wood.

Around 1983 or so IIRC.

I just received one of these knives. I can't imagine a better bargin. Fit and finish are excellent. Mine came razor sharp. I managed to slice my right index finger open the first time I handled it. I will have to keep an eye on those web specials. I also got one of the 112 Rangers and one of the single blade 301 knives. They are all gerat knives but this 110 really stands out. I would have never noticed the blade was 154Cm if I hadn't seen it on this forum. Thanks for the heads up.

I just snapped a pic of mine snuggled in with it's brothers.

Top to bottom:
3 Dot 110 (NIB)
Cow Bone 110
Dymondwood 154CM 110
Paperstone Drop Point BCCI 110

110s (4).jpg

Here is a pic of that cowbone by itself. I mainly wanted to show off that sheath. I'd like to get a few of those as they're very nice!

Mine showed up last night. Wow! what a bargain! I can't get over the quality of this buildout. I would be smiling everytime I handled it anyway, but when I think about the price I paid, I can't help but grin.

The Dymondwood Scales, black as a moon-less night, remind me of the old song, "darkness darkness, my old friend, cover me with the endless night."

I have my five 154cm 110. The fit and finish on mine are outstanding...as good as my Custom Shop knifes. The only flaw is the poor location on the blade stamp that obscurs the 154cm partially (that's probably why these went as specials).

Totally Delighted!!!! Pictures on all of these tomorrow I hope.
