18 ft python, what knife would you use.

"Hey" anyone seen Jay lately" ? HARDBALL

Lol. I heard of a trick here but i haven't seen it be done- try to bite the end of the tail and the snake basically "disabled" due to the nervous system on tip of tail.

Not too sure about that of King Cobra.

Wow that's scary! Coincidentally I just finished watching a documentary called "Man-Eating Super Snake" on Animal Planet a few minutes ago. It was about the problems Floridians are having with both the African Rock Python as well as the Burmese Python.

Why all the violence?

I would have offered it a puff and a cup of tea, shoot the breeze for a bit then ride it to Whitecaste.

Shame to kill a beautiful creature.

I agree, They are beautiful creatures. but they don't belong here in Miami and need to go.

Photo hosting problems. I posted a new photo. This is a bearded axe that I made. It is very sharp and extremely quick.

The last snake I killed was when I was weed eating and ran into it. Wasn't nearly as big as a python, but it didn't fare very well against that sharp 3 sided weed eater string. Didn't see it until it was too late. Other than that I never kill snakes I encounter in the wild, but I always seem to have at least one snake hating dog in my pack.

Photo host site problems. Here's a new photo from another site. I don't think I'd kill a snake unless I was endangered by it. A python that size certainly qualifies. In addition to my bearded axe I'd carry this British Ministry of Defense knife that I modified.

Any Model S&W 29 Knife would do just fine ! With a 240 HP on the tip ~~ of course.! uummmm 'lunch' in the Everglades.* hehe

Judging by the size of the knife in the video, I don't think I could carry a knife big enough in my state (TN). What is the blade length limit in Florida?
Suffice to say that I wouldn't want to face that with anything less than my 5.5 inch Mora. Maybe I would use my Marble's bowie machete.

I would choose a spyderco civilian with a zip-tie. Fast secure deployment and more than enough ability to hook deep and pull

We don't have any snakes that size .We only have had a few snakes in the house .One I caught in a mouse trap !!

what would I use?...ANYTHING within reach. I know a reptile dealer that specializes in the reticulated python and I had a 14' female wrap herself around my left leg and it took three grown men to "unwrap" her. not a fun experience...trust me
