2,000th post Giveaway - Winners chosen pg3 post nr. 56

Awesome giveaway Andi, its neat to see everyones hobbies!
Please dont count this as an entry -as we have both very recently swapped knives, and mine is just great.
neeman...can we see your work?...Im very interested Sir!
My hobbies have changed over the years from the extreme physical to now peaceful ( does this mean age is creeping up on me? )
I dont sit down and draw much these last few months, but I intend to get very seriously into it, I have to do more so as to speed myself up, because Im not going to share the number of hours per pic...and because of this-I get burnt out and need a break, be gentle folks...I am amateur :o
I use my Stag John Lloyd as my pencil sharpener, which I sharpen a pencil probably every minute-as I need a very sharp tip, I try to draw the pic so the close you get the more detail you see-rather than the usual opposite...the photos are taken with the picture in its frame-so the N/R glass robs a lot of life and detail from the picture.
Here is a Tiger I finished a wee while ago..

half of my Eagle....

a pic I gave up on-the lions head is too small, AND my pencil went through the paper in the right eye..

Im starting to draw izzy, if you have a look at my Avitar...around 1/5th of the way through...

Very interesting post, another piece of the members life is revealed and that's interesting and fun. Duncan those drawings are amazing I like them all but the tiger speaks to me the most. Sitflyer I always envied the guys with the parachute but with my height fear I wouldn't try it ever. Andy nice modification to the Opinels. I guess my main hobby beside the knives, is training Japanese traditionals martial arts mainly Aikido, Iaido (Japanese sword) and Jodo (short stuff).

Hi Fellows!

I just realized, that I have 2,000 posts in this wonderful forum. So, now it´s really time for a GA.

... I thought about getting a GA where you can post your hobbies, whatever they are.

I play blues, rock and country harmonica. No need to count this as an entry, though.

I am into fishing, hunting, amateur photography, freehand sharpening, restoring old tools, restoring old knives, baseball, skateboarding (cruising and shredding mostly), building things, and taking things apart. I really need to specialize.

Thanks for the chance, those Opies sure look nice!

Andi, Congrats on your 2000 post and such a great GA. This is not an entry! Great thread, It's cool to see all the different hobbies
people have... Duncan your drawings are amazing brother! Lots of folks playing music! I dig that. I was in a band for a number of years. We
had a record deal with MCA and I got to tour with some amazing bands.. Kid Rock, Godsmack, Deftones, Puddle of Mudd, Shooter Jennings, David Alan Coe
etc. lots of fun and a hobby that paid the bills for awhile...lol.

Hi Andi. Thanks very much for your 2000 posts. They are greatly appreciated.

Duncan, your drawings are beautiful. You are truly talented.

I mostly collect vintage corkscrews and wine related items. I also like to take photos in my garden.

Very generous giveaway! Please do not count this as an entry.

Compared to most of you, I'm a boring person. I like to fish and hike, the normal stuff. I also have an okay workshop. I dabble in woodworking, here's something I made for the wife a few years back. It's a CD holder.

I have always been a tinkerer. I like to take things apart. They don't always go back together the same way though... My latest hobby has been knife modding. I take old knives and rework them..take a blade out, change scale material, etc. Here are some examples of my work.

An old Imperial camper before... now with smooth hunter green bone

Fantastic work Glenn! I need to send my next rehandle job to you. So many of these are beautiful, but I really like that smooth hunter green bone.

I have some hunter green jigged bone just sitting on my desk waiting to adorn an old Camillus equal end jack. If I quit buying knives I may be able to save up some $ to get it done.

Cymbidium Orchids have graced my gardens for nearly 30 years. These are the descendants of a pot that I rescued from certtain death at a friends house all those years ago. They have been divided and repotted many times to giveaway and bring pleasure to others.
The dij -my weapon of musical choice.
Cheers Andi.

Thanks for this giveaway!

My other hobby is automotive mechanics, and this is one of my best mods; throttle body upgrade from 52 mm to 75 mm to my Jeep Cherokee renix.
