2 questions what led u to Beker knives and what led u to the BK&T forum?

Did alot of research and wound up with a rc4 and Izula. The BK2 got alot of good reviews but I thought it would be too heavy. Joined here and kept reading Moose's post's about the 2 and finally got to handle one at a local shop. I would like to blame Moose, but the knife sold its self. Sounds stupid but once you handle one its basicly a done deal. Showed it to one of my buddies and now he owns one!!!!.

I bought my first Becker from Toooj at the WNY get together a couple years ago. The reason I started coming to the Becker forum was a carving contest that invited non-Beckerheads to participate.

I was looking for a knife similar to my grandfathers Case XX 337-6 Quartermaster.
I was specifically looking for something stout for camping and hiking, that wasn't a crazy Rambo knife.
Searching directed me to the Becker line, and this forum.
Now I am kind of addicted ..lol

P.S. I was pleasantly surprised that Kabar was here too, I had an old Kabar for a long time.

I was amazed by the Bk11, then I handled it. WOW, this thing is perfect. It's around my neck all the time, unless I'm at work. BK11, Vic. Farmer, and one of my Leatherman's and I am set. I now also own the BK9, BK2, and BK13. I hang out at BCUSA most of the time. This is the only other forum I "lurk" at. It is a neat place. The BK2 is my goto bush knife, it just does it.....and does it will!!!!! Waiting for the new tweener to come out.

The reason I'm here......... where else can you speak with the actual guy who designed the knife(Ethan).

Thanks guys,

Recently I was looking for a good camp knife. I watched a lot of youtube videos and read various websites. The BK2 kept coming up. I found BF and I decided to register because of this subforum and this is my first post.

I now have a rsk mk2 (BK12) and a BK13 with a BK2 on the way - all in the last week. Prior this I was always a “folder” guy and most of my knives are SAK.

Oh yeah, I bought my first fixed blade a couple of years ago. A Gerber LMF II. The Beckers are in a completely different class even though the price is about the same.
