20 dollar knives that dont suck!

Oh, i would like to add that i have a Mora knife.
I think its for whittling, but still.
Its been used, got a rust spot or 2, with a wood handle.
The blade is also scratched up.
Its still great. VERY sharp too.
Theyre built simply. Not really anything to go wrong there.
Plus, for the price, if it breaks, its not really a big deal
 
IMO if you're after a folder the Opinels are the all end all folding knives in the sub-20 dollar world, however, if you're after something with a bit more modern style, you might find the CRKT Drifter worth looking at. I've inspected several different specimens and foun them to be built to fairly high standards in regar to fit and finish for a 20 dollar knife. If I were to purchase a Drifter I'd opt for the Psuedo Ti handle over the G10 handle but that's just personal preference. Also if your willing to spend a few bucks extra you could have a Douk Douk folder Wich IMO is an awesome traditional work horse.

The three best I've used:
Marttiini Condor series (all can be had under $20)
Marttiiini M571 (I paid $10)
Victorinox Hiker (around $20)
 
Buck 422 or 426 BuckLite series. Basically a Buck 110 with a nylon handle. Strong, light weight, decent blade.
 
Those Bucklites may be more than $20, but Buck's 420HC, it's bread-and-butter steel, is excellent and is used in many of its value knifes.

Whetrock already mentioned it, but the Douk Douk is the BEST inexpensive knife ever. You can find them on sale for around $20.... Maybe a few bucks more. Worth every penny, plus they have a cool history. Also check out the Mercator, virtually the same as a Douk Douk, but it locks.

I highly recommend using the search function here for the Douk Douk. There's a couple of great threads on it.
 
kershaw clash or kershaw tremor are both great knives around 20 to 25 bucks!
 
Buck 300 line of folders, only add 10 more bucks and you can get the USA made ones.
Victorinox, I think the Spartan is around ~15 USD.
