I love my CRKT drifter. especially for the price. I wish i wouldve gotten a non-serrated blade though. and i wish they allowed tip-up carry, but that can be easily modified.

Buck Vantage Select.

+1. 420HC from Buck is outstanding. Great ergos, great balance, handsome design. Blade centering is inconsistent but does not affect performance. Fantastic value knife made in USA. Everyone should get one of the Buck Vantage series.

I picked up an Ontario Utilitac for $25 on sale. AUS8, G10 scales and great lock up, I liked it so much I bought 2.

Mora 711 ... more knife is not needed at EDC tasks. The sheath is not the best, but the knife is great. Carbonsteel blade, synthetic grippy handle. I own a couple. One of them is permanently used on the building lot and its not taken much care about it. It´s a real working horse. The prize is hot; roundabout 11 $ or 9 € is great.

I made the haft of that Frontier Hawk within about ten minutes outside in the woods :)

Kind regards

Those Bucklites may be more than $20, but Buck's 420HC, it's bread-and-butter steel, is excellent and is used in many of its value knifes.

They're under $20 on Buck's web specials page. Great price for a great user knife.

I'm hoping that the $20 Kershaw Tension that I ordered this morning from Cabelas doesn't suck.

Probably going to continue to state the obvious, but:

- Opinel 6 or 7
- Victorinox Cadet
- CRKT Lake 111 zytel
- Enlan EL-02
- Sanrenmu 710
- Sanrenmu 763
- Sanrenmu 738

Kershaw Crown is pretty good , Enlan El-01 or 02 , SRM 710 - a little small though, Kabar-Dozier u can get an Enlan and the 710 for $20
thats what did:thumbup: I just got them today my first Enlan el-01 with the gray g-10 and the SRM 710. For the $ really they can compete with knives that cost 4 times as much

Cold steel GI tanto can be found around $20 and is tough as hell for a "cheap" knife even the sheath is "OK". I also like any of the smaller mora knives and the Kabar Dozier are all sweet knives if you want a nice user that handles well and holds an edge.

I recently bought a Buck Large Bantam and it seems pretty good (USA made 420HC). Its a lock back with a thumb stud so it opens a little jerky, but its hard to beat for what it is.

Nobody's mentioned the Mercator K55 lock blade. All steel construction, good quality carbon steel blade, and thin enough that it fits in pockets very well.
