2007 Fisk Micro Show - Preview

Lin, the bronze looks great, waiting to see how the patina turns out. Really awesome stag and the blackwood handle contours seem very ergonomic. Nice carving and hammer work too.

Nice work too, Jerry...

Here's Jerry latest addition to his Micro Show Line-up. This is his first folder to be designated as a National Living Treasure piece.

That is just a stunning folder. Somebody's going to be real happy with that one.

Here's Lin's 3rd piece for the Micro Show. It is in tribute to Jerry's Sendero design. He used 5160 in the blade, which is 4 1/4 inches long, stainless for the fittings, and his first use of Amber Stag. And a very good use of it I must add.

These are just great photos by Chuck Ward.

What a beauty this one turned out to be. Jerry describes below:

The piece shown above I forged out at the School in Old Washington as a demo for a hammer-in and thought just go ahead and do something for a demo that I had not done before as a demo there. Yeah, thats real smart. Anyway, this is what I ended up with. W2 carbon steel from a round bar and the handle material is stablized California Buckeye. The blade is approx 6 inches long.

I LOVE that integral - as I knew I would. That one would be pretty high on my list.

Here's Lin's fourth addition to the Micro Show and it's a beauty.
It has a 10 inch blade of a damascus made from 1084 and L-6.
The fittings are Stainless Steel and the handle material is fossilized Walrus. Its though tang construction.
The OAL is about 15 inches.

Lin, That is reallt a great looking Bowie. A good comination of damascus and ivory. Jim Treacy

That darn Bowie Bolita is going to be hard this year. You boys have out done yourselves!:D:thumbup::D

I will try to post the latest of my Fisk Micro Show knives that are complete.

Number 5 is an interpretation of a Bill Moran knife, the ST-24. I want to thank Jim Treacy for his help with photos of an original. This knife gives me a new appreciation for the things considered while making a knife. It helps me know what Mr Moran might have been thinking with this design. It's light and quick and feels great to the hand. the blade is 10 inches of 5160. The handle is Curly Maple with pure Silver wire.

Number 6 is a very small Personal Carry with a 3 1/8 inch blade of 1084 and L-6. The fittings are Bronze and the handle wood is African Blackwood. The OAL is about 7 inches.

I want to thank Kevin for helping me with some of the posts. I will be working on a couple more knives as the time gets down to the wire. Also I thank Chuck Ward for his fine photography skills.
Thanks, Lin

Absolutely gorgeous Lin. Great photos Chuck.

Shows getting close. Jerry's got some more spectacular pieces too.

Total awesomeness Lin! The ST is just over the top and that little personal carry in just about perfection. Invitees are in for a treat.

Roger

Some great looking knives there, Lin.

It never dawned on me before, but the date for the draw for the forum bowie is right around my birthday. Boy would winning that knife be a great present.

If you get the draw we will wrap it with a Birthday ribbon and ship it with a card. ;) :D

I really like this boot bowie! The blackwood makes a great spacer here. Compliments the sheephorn and damascus well. Somebody gets a super small bowie here. Well done!

Gamemaster Hunter with mammoth ivory and frame handle with stainless mountings. Left and Right hand twist on the blade with wolf tooth pattern on the bottom.
This has delicate style engraving on it, the most gold I have put on one yet and I think the gold is at a max, my opinion and this is the nicest Gamemaster I have made to date.

This beautiful piece will go to the buyer with the '07 Spirit of Steel Show "Best Fixed Blade" & "Best of Show" titles.
This piece is only the second FISK hunter to be designated as an NLT.

I believe I know one individual who will be after this one. ;) :D
