2007 Fisk Micro Show - Preview

Kevin, I had no idea what all took place at Jerry's show. I think its great to hear that we'll be using some of these fine customs and put them through the ropes....pun intended. I've been reluctant to do that with my own.

Lin, I may bring the Sheephorn Bowie to see what she can do....that is, if you'll make her look pretty again when we're done.

I could sure use a few lessons from some experts.
Bob

Yep, the new guy usually holds the rope  ;)
And you thought cutting rope was hard. :D :)

Lin's going to be doing some SERIOUS cutting.

I'll hold real steady for ya Kevin.....real steady:p and I won't even hold it against you for being a Hokie fan;).

Yep, I had almost forgot, Lin will be doing his MS performance testing. I don't think he'll have any problems though.

Bob,
Bring your knife and we'll see if she can cut some rope. I'll clean it up if it needs it. By the way, J Neilson shows a clean up technique that is good for all users. He shows it on youtube. He mentions that John White helped him with it.
I got my test knife ready, I hope. It's not too purty, but is scary sharp.
Lin

Hey thanks Lin for the invite to this post. Here's the link to my little You Tube video for cleaning up your hand-rubbed finish... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZheeI3voYs
... it's pretty straight forward, I think.

I'd be afraid of getting cut just standing next to one of your knives Lin. Best of luck on your performance test as well... like you'll need it. ;)

On of my mostest funnest experiences was cutting rope wih Jerry's personal Arkansas camp with walrus ivory handle. I ordered one on the spot!

Hey, look who just dropped in....:) Welcome J. For those of you who might not know J makes a mighty fine forged knife. Looking forward to seeing you at the Little Rock show J.

Chuck

You just make my knives look good Mr. Ward.

I look forward to seeing you at AKA as well Chuck, we'll have a great time. You guys enjoy yourselves at Jerry's as well. I'll look forward to some good stories.
;)

Won't be able to tell any stories from the show. We all have to sign a confidentiality clause after the dancing camel incident.;):D

Though not this knife, but one just like it will be Rhea #9 for the Fisk Micro Show.

It has a 9 1/2 inch blade of 5160, fittings are Silicon Bronze and Stainless, and the handle wood is premium Desert Ironwood.
