This is not deal spotting since he is now sold out, but the dealer that had the tins on sale awhile back on Amazon had them on both Ebay and Amazon again, so I bought 6 for a total of $120.50 including UPS shipping !! I got 10 from him last time ( two orders of 5) last time around. One guy bought 40 as he had about 100 to sell, so my question is where is this guy getting these as they are new in the plastic and have been sold out at Walmart for two years???

I didn't know it was the same guy. I bought 5 the first time (already had three) and gave some away. I just received 5 more from him Friday. Where in the heck could you buy a 110 for $20 delivered, tin or no tin!

There had to be a big stash of them somewhere that never made it to the Walmarts. If he was selling them for $20 delivered, imagine how little they cost him!

I imagine the guys who convert/customize 110's have them left over...They were the same price (or less) than regular Wally 110's...I know I have three cans minus knives sitting in my closet, gathering dust...Costs more to mail them than I could sell them for...

(I still have two in-the-wrapper tins + knife...unopened...the buyers never got back to me...) :grumpy:

I bought 15 of them to put stone on. I spend about 1/2 hour on each buffing off that D--N etch. If the etch wasn't on them I would have bought 50 of them...... When he first listed them he had 400 of them!

There must be a newer one with etching...the ones I bought don't have etching...They came with the deer's head bottle opener...I think they were the Thanksgiving '05 Commemorative Sets...

These were the Al Buck signature ones. They are suppose to have a mirror polished blade and rosewood handles.

Here's the one the OP is talking about.

Got my six in on Thursday and they are as great as the other 15 or so of these I have !!....lol...I just ordered 5 more that the same seller has on that other site for the same price but cost me $6 for shipping for all five....My Father's day present to myself !

Seems like evil-bay even had them a week or so back as a 'Dailey Deal'.

Anyone else see that, or did I experience more crannial flatulance?

This does not sound good... :(

I thought you were talking about the tins...not the tins with knives...If he's selling off that many of them that cheaply, there's an open police investigation somewhere...

I don't think they are stolen as he sells close outs and between now and before he has had about 1,000 of them to sell.....maybe they are what Walmart was returning to Buck and he picked the lot up?

Maybe they were never delivered to Wal-Mart...My Wally never had them...

I have never ever found a Buck 110 tin at a Walmart, and I look every time I pass one, both in NJ and in PA.
Been looking for 2 years, at this point.

Got the five when I got home last night....Great great knives and I love the mirror finish !!!

I agree they look great but why would they deface them with that UGLY etch??? :grumpy:

I m getting very good at removing the etch though.....
