Here is the knife that I made last year. Mammoth bone, mammoth ivory and wrought iron hardware and my wispy smoke damascus.

Yeah, I get that. It's just that the few pictures I see up are true artpieces. But no worries. Whomever I get they will recieve all that I can put into it.

I would be happy to recieve any knife from you guys as long as its the best you can do at this stage of your skills. Remember we are in a big family here or should I say a brotherhood? Knifemakers seem to have a special bond that way. An early attempt will be treasured because of it.

i recieved the Dan Pierson knife scott put up on the last page and its the nicest knife i own :) this is a great way to see other makers ideas and to learn. im planning what to make and cant wait to start seeing progress photos here...

I'm wondering if you're in kind sir. Let me know.

I'll be planning a barbeque around the time of Blade Show West down here in the Portland, Oregon area. If you want, you could drop in...have some burgers and beer (beer, after the grinding)...and use my KMG to grind out some blanks and get past the filing stage. There'll be plenty of makers here to help you. Bring about half a dozen cut out blanks and I guarantee you'll have plenty of knives ready for heat treating and finishing. My shop is open to you.

I am still debating whether or not to do this, Can I get back to you?

I appreciate the kind offer- 3 of the best things- beer, burgers and knives! I would love to go to the blade show, but It may not happen with school etc. :grumpy:

The most up to date list of knifemakers in the gift exchange. If you're in and not on the list, please let me know. I've received an email from everyone that is on this list. We're up to 54 makers participating in this years exchange.

Those of you on the fence, come on down and join the fun!
