2008 Knifemakers Christmas Gift Exchange! (2nd Annual)

that is a great list. I can wait to see who I get and who gets ME. LOL Now I feel like a kid at christmas again. I have drooled over a few knives in this site now I got a chance to get one from one of the Great Makers that are invoved in the exchange. Since I am a procrastinator I better get started now LOL.

Thanks, Bryce

Hoo boy.

Someone up there said "God hates a coward". I'm nervous about this, but count me in...

RME Forge is Bob Evans.

I'll get an email off with my contact info right away.

Lol, I know I'll be procrastinating until something forces me to go outside to the forge.... Likely gonna be the cold weather that gets me out there.

I still need to get started on a knife for my brother! I'm planning on giving it to him when his first child is born in October. He's been hinting at wanting a knife for awhile now! Lol, I think he was more excited by my first one than the person I gave it to! He took the knife and started showing it around to everyone he knew! I don't think my father (the new owner of the knife) got it back from him for a week!

what do the x and y represent at the end of our names? i notice some have both and some dont... is this something painfully obvious that im just missing... thanks

I can't decide to sign up for it or not! I don't even know if I will get the knife i am making myself done by then. I am filing them out now, and am procrastinating- because I don't like filing! :)

I'm wondering if you're in kind sir. Let me know.

I'll be planning a barbeque around the time of Blade Show West down here in the Portland, Oregon area. If you want, you could drop in...have some burgers and beer (beer, after the grinding)...and use my KMG to grind out some blanks and get past the filing stage. There'll be plenty of makers here to help you. Bring about half a dozen cut out blanks and I guarantee you'll have plenty of knives ready for heat treating and finishing. My shop is open to you.

Don't concern yourself with it grasshopper...:p Actually, the "Y" tells me that I received an email. The "x" tells me that I had an "I'm in" on the thread here, and may or may not have been waiting for an email. Just my little system for trying to keep track of the I'm in's and the contact emails.

And here is the updated list. We're at 49. My hope was for 50 this year, but I'm now hoping for a lot more holiday cheer to be spread around. Come on everyone, lets see if we can get to 75!!!!
