Guys,

Here are the specs:

This knife is based upon the 2003 Schatt Morgan barlow pattern, that is where the tooling comes from, if someone has a pic, that will help us.

Blade: Quoted a clip point, and wharncliffe blade, equal length. They can do a spear point instead of the Clip, but my feeling is that clip point will be more popular. It will be in D-2 steel....the original quote was in 420 ss, if we go ATS-34, it will add $7.50/knife. Blade will have regular Queen stamp, no etching, if that is all right with everyone

Handle: Nickel silver bolsters AND liners, and shield(figured everyone wanted a shield, it adds $2.00 to the cost), their jigged bone is reflected in the quote....we MAY have an option for stag at the same price...we need to know if someone WILL NOT order because of the stag option. The knife will be 3 1/2" closed, smaller than what was wanted, but still a good sized knife...the other option is to get a quote on a Daddy barlow, but at 5" closed, that is HUGE, not so pocket friendly.

Bolster: Will be laser etched, with a logo to be provided by us, so if anyone has an idea, show it. STAMPING in the bolster will add $500.00 tooling charge. Speak up if you want to foot the additional cost.

We didn't talk about individual serial numbers, but that will probably add $2.00 to the cost.

Without individual serial numbers, the knife comes in at $83.00, figure $85.00 with.....shipping to us for 50-75 knives will probably run about 40.00, and then there is shipping to you all in CONUS, probably puts the knife right around $95.00+/- delivered.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Thanks for all the work. Will these knives be shipped with the normal Queen edge (i.e., barely sharpened)?

Probably...although we can request "extra sharp":D

They will be shipped unopened in the same condition in which they are shipped by Queen.
You are on your own as far a sharpening and reprofiling. ;)

I will work out shipping charges with members outside of the continental US.

Wow! Sounds good to me. The size & the fact that it'll be an equal length 2 blade Barlow just makes it more attractive/useful to me.

Definitely count me in & MANY thanks to you for this. I know I speak for everyone in that I/we appreciate it.

On a personal note, I'm fine with either stag or jigged bone. In fact, if same price, I'd say get the stag, but it's not a big issue for me. As for steel, I'd love an ATS-34 model & would pony up the extra $, but I also love D2 & thinking of the current economical situation (Globally, not just the U.S.), it's probably better to stay with the D2.

A pic of the '03 S&M Barlow in question would be nice, but I'm in either way. Thank you again.

Sounds really nice!

This is S&Ms 13th series from 2003
B is the Barlow

I don't personally own the 13th Set, but I cut this image out of the Queen flyer from that year. I don't think that there's a copy right issue.

Neeman beat me by 60 sec.

Sounds like several decisions left.
Should a poll be taken on D2 or ATS-34, and Bone or Stag?
Not necessarily binding, just to see if there happens to be an overwhelming favorite.

No poll...time for polls is over....this order should be in to Queen by first week in May in order to meet November delivery date(gives people an early Christmas present)

We just need to know if someone WILL NOT take a knife if it has D2 and stag.

STeven Garsson

D2 and I'm out

Clarification:

If main blade is a Clip Point in ATS-34, you choose the rest and I WILL buy 1 (maybe 2 if allowed).

I am not clear, is the ATS-34 an option?

For an extra $7.50 I would be interested in ATS-34.
It would make the knife even more special.

And for the same price I would prefer Stag.

ATS-34 IS an option.

Steve,
How would we exersise this option?

It is not an individualized option, sorry for not clarifying.....we would order ALL of the knives in ATS-34 or D2......I still think that D2 is going to be the more popular option, even if we lose a few orders because of it.

Blade:

I'm cool with D2.

Personally, D2 holds a better edge than ATS-34 and I don't plan on using it as my saltwater dive knife. :p

Handle:

Shield - I'm easy

Scale material - I'm easy

Closed length - 3.5" is good for me. Please, no 5" Daddy Barlow.

Bolster:

Laser etched with something one, or more, of us provide?

Individual serial numbers - Can take it or leave it.

Good job, STeven !

I would personally rather have a Spear blade:thumbup:
But D2 and stag is GOOD;)

I'm in for what ever regardless;)!

I am good with whatever, for at least one...
