2009 BladeForums Traditional Forum Knife updates

Thanks Guys,

The knives are safe and sound. They are starting to work on the atrophy in my left leg and I should be stumbling around in two weeks or so. Right now it is all I can do to minimally take care of myself, dogs and house as well as the therapy.

I wanna know how those goats are being treated/neglected, and by whom, while you're down. :D

Hobbling now, stumbling in a couple of weeks you'll be ready for the Summer Olympics in no time. :D

House, family, and therapy first.

Our knives can marinate at your place for awhile longer. We'll only appreciate them that much more when they arrive.:D

I ain't worried brother, you know what ya gotta do, take care of #1 the rest is all small stuff.

Listen to the therapist, do what ever PT they give ya, remember ya can't wrangle goats if they walk faster than ya can hobble.

Great to hear things are getting better Gus, albeit slowly. Must be a real PITA not being able to get around and do stuff, I know the feeling. Still, on the bright side, you have a great excuse to sit around and watch all those daytime soaps .....

:)

Good to hear from you Gus!
Hang in there and keep healing up real good....... ;)

What some guys will do to get a nurses attention.... Gus don't let those goats find out. :) Keep working on that hoof and you'll be back to goat chasing before you know it. Thanks for the update.

Gus,

I know you are healing up, but is it possible you could give us an update on the expected shipment of the forum knives?

Thanks,

Gus,

Thanks,

CD & others,

I do not want to embarrass Gus in any way and I've got a steak in this too, and frankly have dreamed more than once myself about this awesome and unique pocket knife in my large sweaty paws over the last year or so.. :D ..

.. Anyways, a little unofficial update to y'all, a little birdy(not Gus) just flew in to whisper in my ear that we are very close to delivery of these wonderful one-of-a-kind-slippys.

.. And, if I know Gus the way I do, nobody is wanting to get this shipping-monkey off of his back more than he does,, but please understand he takes great pride in following through with his commitment and wants this process to be perfect and does not want to leave anything to chance by letting other folks help.. So let us all just be a little more patient with his injury recovery. I guarantee it'll be worth the wait!

Many Blessings,
Anthony

Communication is a wonderful thing and it can make patience last a lot longer...

Guys,

I am not sure how to update you on anything since there is no update. The knives are safe and sound.

It is a matter of when I am physically able to do so and I am still having a very hard time getting around. When that changes I will update.

I apologize to all for the delay, but this has been a much bigger thing to recover from than I thought. I am stuck with trying to learn how to walk again and balance is a huge hurdle to get over. Just taking care of normal day to day things is a huge challenge.

All I can do at this point is offer full refunds to anyone who wants one and I will be glad to do so.

I am not sure how to exactly predict when, but I am hoping to start shipping in three weeks, but I am unable to make that a promise. It is just a guess.

Gus,

Thanks for the reply, I'm sorry it's taking you so long to recover. The note you posted is just what I was looking for. Guesses are fine and I'm not looking for a promise nor do I want a refund. I just like to hear from you personally one in awhile to see how you are coming along and if we are closer. Get Well and I hope things get easier for you.

Gus,

Heal Up! Waiting for this knife is liking hunting..95% is thinking about it, waiting for the moment and then Boom, it's over! For me, the wait/anticipation is just fine. ;) Get your balance and walk down, and soon you will be thinking of something else besides "Can I make it to the kitchen or bathroom"?? :D

This knife will be nice, but it is still ...just a knife! We are all pulling for you to heal up as having us wait a little bit longer is no pain, compared to what has happen to you. Maybe.. in a short time you will have this painful chapter in your life behind you!!!

Gus,
Thanks for the update, and I hope that the recovery starts to move along more quickly for your sake. I can't imagine having to go through being laid up then having to learn to walk again. The knife will be great, but the best thing about receiving it will be that I'll know you are starting to get around a bit better. Good luck to ya.

Dave
