2010 spy photos! Slight Delay :-(

Crimping the liners! Man, you really do learn something new every day! Thanks Charlie!

OK Boys and Girls! Go back to the OP (original post) for a couple more "teaser pictures"!
(Rated PG, for those with kids looking over your shoulders!):D

Thanks Charlie. You must have know I was going through withdrawals.

I'm trying to keep the pictures in one place - kind of building the knife as Queen is building it!
I'll post further pictures, if any, on page 1, in the original post. That way, no-one has to thumb through the thread looking for them.

I got it now!! I thought you were referring to the thread with scans of a assembled knife without the BF stamps. Duh.:o

The Queen grinding machines are in an old concrete basement, with raised concrete walkways zigging and zagging between the machines, and with rivers of cooling water flowing by the walks.
All surfaces are dark, with over a century of grinding activity leaving its marks. The machines growl and screech and purr, like a cave full of sci-fi behemoths clustered in a cave.
Brave masked men do the required ministrations, adjusting and feeding, and produce consistently ground blades on ancient technology. You have to see it to believe it!
Here's a little WIP shot of our clip blades. I've also posted it in the OP for completeness! The parts are slowly marching toward the 2010 knives!!

You're starting to make me antsy with all these teasers Charlie.:D

Seriously though, it's pretty cool to see the WIP pics of the forum knife. Your descriptions of Queen's factory are fun to read also. Thanks for the update.

Thank you sir. I'm really getting excited about this. I'd love to tour the factory some day.

Hi Charlie -

Thank you for keeping us updated - it is enjoyable to see the WIP pictures here.

Best Regards -

Charlie, It looks really nice! The BFC logo/dots looked nice in the mock-ups but seeing them in steel....well it just takes it to another level:thumbup: Thanks for keeping us in the loop:D

Excellent updates Charlie, looking mighty fine:thumbup::thumbup:

Swedges cut, nearly finished blades. They are inching their way through the system.

Those look great Charlie. Are they keeping the glaze finish or going for high polish?
