You are too modest, Gene!!

I have it on good authority that there is considerably more work than "throwing something together" involved in making those labels!
Great work!!

doh, i was referencing the teaser ad! ummm yes the labels and tang were rather involved and labor intensive;)
I didnt mean to diminish the '10 art just that the idea for the Wooden ad came to me one morning before starting another project at work so i rather hastily roughed it up... i needs to draw more and talk less i suppose:D
thanks charlie!

PS any new word on a timeline for these?

My hats off to all involved. Great work! This will be my first forum knife and I'm sure not my last. The anticipation of this knifes arrival keeps me pretty happy these days. Very cool indeed!

if i missed the info, i apologize. how do i get one of these?

It's a limited run that was put together at the beginning of the year and prepaid at the same time.

Check back around December or January, that's usually when the talkin' begins about the next years knife.

You can ask to see if a member bought more than one, he might be willin' to sell.

This will be my sophomore year with forum knife. The knowing you have a knife inbound is quite a feel good thing. Taking longer than expected, makes it even sweeter.

naw just goofing around:D

now the question: Are were there yet? :D Yeah, I know... there's still leaves on the trees, but not that much. I have to keep my eyes open if I see Charlie gluing leaves on tree's here... After all, we were told that shipping starts where there's still leaves on the trees :D Just messin' with ya bit Charlie. Thanks for your work. We're almost there I presume.

I'm running out of glue, Jani!
I left a message, and sent an email this morning. Hopefully we'll get an update from Queen before the day is out.

Leaves probably still on the trees down in Florida:D

We are all looking forward to the knives, thanks to all who are working towards it:thumbup:

"Good morning Charlie. Sorry I did not get back to you. Springs finally just arrived from heat treat. Should begin assembly Monday afternoon. Have a good weekend, Pat"
The above is this morning's message from my brother Patrick at Queen. A little further information;
The springs were stamped out of thicker material, then machined down to proper thickness to provide a better, tight fit at the liners, before being sent out for their special heat treatment. An expensive step for a production shop, one they couldn't afford to do on a regular basis.
I suspect that ate their profit right there!!

Thank you for the update!!!
Hopefully when I get home next mine will be there waiting for me.

I'll bet they already have the other operations completed like scales to liners/bolsters and everything else. Won't take long now if they're just pinning them together and finish polishing.

Hi Charlie -

Thanks for the update - It will be a great day when these start arriving at our homes.

Thank you for keeping us updated, and also for all the work you and your cohorts have been doing to make this fine knife a reality for us all.

best regards -

Roger on the thanks! These projects obviously require a lot of time and work. So I want to make sure you know that I appreciate it also.

Thanks for the update..... leaves are still a fair ways from falling off here in New Mexico! Have a great day everyone....
