Well, I think we have a pretty good idea of the winner. I'll talk to Andy and Chris tomorrow, but I think we can close this poll down and move on to the next step with GEC. I'm excited about this one. Am I the only one who thinks that jigged bone is right-on?????

Anything else and I think it wouldn't look right...you hit the nail on the head with that bone. :)

This is great! Glad to see this moving along so well.

I think the chosen jigged bone is an excellent choice.:thumbup::thumbup:

I'm really looking forward this one. Even though I did not vote for the Caplifter, I'm glad it won.

This knife is gonna be great and I can't wait to get my hands on one.

Many thanks to all you guys that are making this happen!

One thing before you close this thread. PLEASE make sure GEC uses/trys out their caplifter blade on a beer bottle cap or any other cap to make sure it will remove/lift off a cap. Now this might sound a little strange but on some earlier Leatherman Tools their caplifter would not fit over and on a cap in order to remove the cap. I've also run across a couple of knives with a caplifter in my time that wouldn't fit over a cap for removal.

It' true: It sounds strange but it does happen: I have i.e. a Case "Hobo" that hardly lifts the cap off the bottle. Besides that a nice knife ;)

I'm a little prejudiced, but I still think that bone jigging and color is the cat's meow!!

Is it too late to get in on this? If not, I'm definitely in. This really looks fantastic! A GEC with jigged bone and a caplifter is pure sweetness.

This is going to be an awesome knife!! cannot wait to see it built!! count me in for one at least!!

I hope this isn't a dumb question. Should we expect this to be a nail breaker? I'd like to get The Boss one but she won't use it if it is.
What do you expect?

Well I imagine the main blade shouldn't be a problem since you won't need a nail to open it.:p The small secondary having a half stop may be a different story though. I think GEC's newer patterns haven't been as bad as their first offerings though, so hopefully it won't be a nail breaker.

It seems like there are always some people who miss out on the order and are looking to buy one. If you get it and the pull is too strong for her, you should be able to sell it without too much trouble.

Good point. Thank you.

Hi jbrew2007 -

We have not opened up the order pipeline yet, this poll was just to get the membership vote on the pattern.

We will have a sticky thread here in this forum with ordering process details as soon as that process has been detailed out.

Everyone will have ample opportunity to order one or more of the 2011 knife when the time comes.

This years knife should be a pretty nice one!

best regards -

Great, thanks so much! Looking forward to this one.

I'm realy excited about this one even though I voted for a punchblade (I can always get a harness jack) the more I think about it a cap lifter is more practical and also can be used as a screw driver also this will be my first bladeforums knife and a killer one at that.
