2011 mini knife KITH

Ok as I promised, mine got shipped out today. Sorry to the new owner for being a little late in the shipping.

I expect a few more little packages should be showing up on doorsteps in the next day or two, I bet everyone is as excited as I am! I just want to say thank you again to everyone for playing along, this sure has been fun. It also sounds like a couple of you guys are going to keep making minis. Every little piece of scrap sure looks different to me now! I think tonight I am going to try to get out to the garage to keep working on my next one. Don't know what it will be yet, it is my first time forging so we'll see what it ends up looking like.

Looking forward to putting this on again next year.

A nice personalized COA with all the specs, a photo, and "birth date." Packaged well.
I can't help it! I need to tear it open!

This thing is way cool! Dovetailed scales, tapered tang, chamfered hollow pins and the sheath locks up nicely!
Awesome job Ryan! This getting dislayed proudly on my bar!

Nice!

I really hope you enjoy the mini Mike! I put a lot of work and time in to it, thanks for putting photos up!

The lapis pieces are small but I hope they can be used for something fun. :D

Haha thanks for posting some photos Xander.. I found the finish work the hardest, this is not the original I made. I was upset with the thickness of the steel used so I grabbed some 1/8" thinned it a little and tapered the tang. I ran out of time to get it perfect, but am glad you like it! Some amazing minis here, I also will be making a few more down the road.

Postman just brought me a package from Charles (Zaph). Nice mini. Thanks, Charles.
Now Zaph and I have one of each others minis ( he bought one last year).

I hope you like it, Stacy. Congrats on 10k posts. I would have liked to make the guard a little sharper slant from the handle to the guard, but I don't have a small enough file. Otherwise, just about everything else is just how I wanted it to be.

I went to the PO Box today and my little package had arrived! I couldn't wait to get home as see what I got (It had been narrowed down to 2 remaining participants, I would have been happy with either!)

Included in the package was a nice presentation box, C.O.A., including all the proper japanese terms (luckily I have been studying up recently on this particular subject) Polishing Paper with directions, and of course the knife!

Stacy you have out done yourself, I am in awe at the detail in this piece!

Thank you so much Stacy, it will go on my office shelf! My son may steal it from me, he keeps eyeballing it!

Ryan, that is awesome! Stacy, amazing work! According to the tracking number the last knife should be delivered today.

By now all realize mine is the last to arrive, hopefully in one piece! I know that the team of gorillas employed by the post office can be brutal on packages at times.

Cool! Awesome job Stacy! Nice score Ryan.

I'm really wondering what the source of the mokume guard is... I think I know. :D

Hehe should be there today Daniel. I checked the tracking last night and it said it left Boulder (I think that's where) on its way to destination with expected arrival of 7/14. Now get back to work and quit waiting by the mailbox!

This is Xanders first knife and I am very honored to have it. The work in it is incredible! Thank you very much!

The sealed personalized certificate and gold box were excellent touches, very nice!

Look at the handle gleaming in the sunlight! It looks even better in person.
