That's a nice Rooster but I'd take the Ryu Congress Jack in the first post.

There are couple of reasons that this congress jack struckmy fancy when the first did not. First I prefer the wharncliffe main and pearl scales, and second it is a production knife and so offers a more realisic idea of how our knife might look

THAT would be a much better interpretation of the CJ: Having blades at one end, a Wharncliffe rather than the absurdly long thin Sheepfoot. shown in the custom picture. No wonder the WT is ahead by a large margin.
I'd vote for this type of CJ no question.

Josh, I was just joking around since I'm a big fan of Ryu's work. If I recall correctly, I gave props to Fight'n Rooster earlier in this thread as one of the only modern examples of a Congress Jack. It's actually on my to buy list though the list is getting a little long these days.

...now I've lost interest in all knives except the Whaler Spike! Can we start over with the polls???

Jake, the mods are already working on the next poll "handle material for the 2012 Whaler Spike".
Rumors have it that there might also be a SFO of a two handed version (basically, a shovel with a vampire killing pike).
An anonymous member also offered to donate a stock of seal skin for the sheath.

Saying this, wouldn't we have to have a maker lined up to realistically go for a specific handle material? If Tortoise Shell Acrylic won by a large margin, but we couldn't do GEC for whatever reason, pretty sure Case or Queen wouldn't really be able to fill that spot...
