Just a question about the steel used. Is there an idiot's guide to knife steel us non informed can look to see what it all means in laymans terms. I mean what is the difference in the steel used in this knife and the one used in their regular production knife, versus an old fashioned D2 knife? Other than rust of course... I know the steel making topic has many degrees and college classes required to follow and understand, but in terms of what the users need to know about the steel, where does this blades steel fit in? Good, better, best or you gonna need to keep a good sharpener handy cause cutting the air will dull this blade?!?!!!
Thanks for any info you guys feel like sharing. Can't wait to get this in. I know some of you guys have been waiting a long time...
The truly great aspect of buying this knife is that the proceeds go to supporting this forum. You're not just paying for a great blade; you're supporting the knife enthusiast community as well.
So thanks again!
