Agreed, especially if you want thin, even slices if you are NOT slicing through something wider than the blade. FFG is slightly more tricky to sharpen with an angle system like the WE(just a *little*), but worth the trade off for the increased blade versatility IMO.

Yes, I know I paid too much for the 560, but I collect TNP knives and lets just leave it at that. This linked 560 isn't my first, the other 560 new was $240 from eBay. The 560 DEFINITELY opens well, but the Tilt feels smoother to me, and I mean a whole new level of smooth. Maybe the person who owned if before me oiled it or something...

Oh yeah, forgot to mention on the Tilt, light as all get out. I haven't ever see such aggressive skeletonizing on a knife before, and I have a couple of hundred, many with Ti, SS, Al, etc. Even the underside of the lock bar (CR style lock bar) is milled out! Sure a bunch of them are skeletonized and for their size they are reasonably light, but this Tilt was a COMPLETE surprise on how light it was when I picked it up. When I looked inside to check out the skeletonizing... well... never seen anything like it!

I was for sure it was mine, I waited till there was 20 sec left & bid $315 & I was the winning bidder then you came along & bid $320 with only 3 sec left, couldn't increase bid in time. Then the TNP Ontario Rat I had the winning bid all week was removed by NTNFANCY for an unknown reason.

Btw, Hope I get my Skyline next week!

I am not involved in this group buy, but I do think someone should chime in with an update for the folks who already paid for these knives. To not do so is quite unprofessional.

I am involved, and have no problem waiting, but agree that the recent lack of info is a little concerning. Considering they already gave themselves a 3 month window ("Could be July, could be September") that has come and gone, I think everyone would greatly appreciate an update. Pretty please? :)
 
I'm not involved in this group buy either, but I do know Spark. I've talked to him today, in fact. This is his baby, and he's got a ton of stuff on his plate right now. This is not his top priority. Relax. He'll make it good for everybody. But it's probably going to take a while. I don't think the run has sold out yet. Be patient.

I'm surprised a $45,000 investment is not a high priority for someone.
