I don't think that anyone should presume to speak for Spark (unless asked to), he is quite capable in that regard, or infer that this or any other issue involving these forums is not a high priority for either Spark or any other parties involved.

That said, I'm sure Spark will chime in when he can and I'll forward this post to him to see if we can expedite a status report on behalf of those who have an interest in the matter.
 
I'm in for 3 and I have no fear that Spark won't take care of biz on this as soon as he can. :thumbup:

I'm just dying along with everyone else waiting for this special blade, but it's in Kershaw's hands now. Honestly, I wouldn't expect to hear from Spark again until these knives are either sold out or ready to ship. He certainly doesn't owe us an update every few days.
 
Folks, let's refrain from posting long, windy, speculative soliloquies in this thread and instead allow Spark to receive my PM and reply here with an update as soon as feasible.

The reason I was asking is , because if ordering another one would help .....I would gladly do so.
The knife pictured on the first page , looks pretty darn good to me.

According to Spark's first post, they don't have to sell out to begin production and ship. Quoted below (notice the third option with a wink, me thinks giveaway):

Option 2: Wait until the knives arrive and hope they aren't sold out. No promise that any will be left, nor guarantee that you'll get the opportunity to buy. No special bonuses or membership extensions. You snooze, you lose.

Other options to be announced... ;)

Even though they don't have to sell out to ship, they need to sell out anyway!!! With the membership numbers of this forum, there MUST be more that are on the fence. Jump off it already and pre-order already, it's a great knife! The fact that they didn't ship in Q3 is actually a good thing maybe since there is extra time to pre-order, because if they do NOT sell out of the 500 pieces before shipping, no one gets the member ship bonuses, although the first few hundred do get another bonus of some sort:

Option 1: Pre-order and pre-pay full amount. You will be first on the list to get these knives. If we presell all 500 pieces, you will get YOUR CHOICE of either a year's gold membership ($25 value) or a 6 month extension to existing Platinum memberships or 4 month extension to Knifemaker memberships. Regardless of whether or not we presell all 500, the first 2-300 people will get a special bonus prize from me as my way of saying thank you for supporting the forums. If you buy multiple knives, you get multiple bonus prizes and membership extensions!

OK ......I just ordered my second , Iam sure they will be well worth it.
I kicking myself for not ordering at the same time , now I pay shipping twice ......LOL

No worries, it is only a buck difference. I bought two at the same time, and it was $9 shipped, I think with 1 it was $5 shipped when I was checking the difference before I placed my order for two. I read earlier in the thread that I think each additional knife was supposed to be only $1 more shipped so I hit a bug too. Earlier in the thread Spark said that they would straighten out all of the shipping and tax charges when they ship, so on worries.

mcraft, it's time for you to lighten up, take a deep breath and step back. While your good intentions and enthusiasm are appreciated, your constant stirring of the pot is becoming problematic. We don't want to hand out infractions but they will be if this keeps up. Please do not reply.

Just await further info from Spark or his designated representative to provide the answers to the questions raised.
 
See what I did was order the forum knife, then I went out and ordered me an orange skyline from kershawguy, that way i can play with that until the blue comes in. I recommend everyone do this. Keeps me from jonesing for the blue one. :thumbup:
