Can you tell me in the idiots guide to steel what the difference in the 2 blades will be? Why is one better than the other besides it has a higher number! LOL
 
So I saw November time-frame which is sweet, any updates on the quantity sold? I am wanting to order my second, but out of extra cash this month.

Search around on this forum you will find lots of info. Start here, http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...based-on-Edge-Retention-cutting-5-8-quot-rope Edge retention in my opinion is the most important criteria when selecting blade steel for a folding pocket knife, and S30V is a bit better than 14C28N in terms of edge retention. S30V in my experience, takes a bit longer to sharpen, but not a big deal at all.
 
I'm thinking this fall is going to be awesome, first the Traditional forum GEC wharncliffe trapper and then the Skyline.

Now I'm just hoping my connection for the Case/Bose Lanny's Clip comes through, and I can get my preordered Kershaw Echelon too :thumbup:
 
Yup, there was the 1760RDSO but there was also the 1760RD without the snap-on logo engraved on the blade. those are really hard to find, i have been trying to find one of those forever!!!!

But back to these... BUY THESE NOW!!!! If you have the money to spare, buy buy buy buy buy!

I'm in the same boat with you. Well, except for the Echelon. They just got the Case/Bose LCs with Antique Bone out last week and this. I'm hoping the Chestnut bones are out next week or the week after???

And, yes, this place is full of awesome, generous folks!
 
Well I finally broke down and decided to do it for the greater good of you all! This will be my first skyline and I figured what better one to have than this one!
