Working on the grade now. Probably be 1085, 1095...Will keep you posted.
1095 or even O1 would be nice.
That just pushes me over to ZT. They are taking more of the maxed out production capacity with their line of wonderful knives. Don't think of it as moving towards Chinese knives. Think of it as filling the bottom of their line with some well made cheap knives. Get people hooked on the cheap stuff and then move them up to the great.
As a card carrying Union man that is hard for me to say. But because they are maxed out and do not want to expand their US operations they have little choice.
I do wish they were called by a different name, but that would hurt sales. But you could call them Kershaw Blue or whatever. And save the great Kershaw name for US and Japanese models.
I hate what has happened to Gerbers "good" name when they flooded the market with their lower end import models.
Just my 2 cents so don't hate.
The Cyro looks nice. Its good to see a knife thats not Black G10. I will get one when they become avialiable.
Do you see how many USA Kershaw's are available?
I would actually prefer the 1085. It seems to me to be a bit tougher with not much loss in the edge holding department. What will the blade thickness be?
I really wish kershaw would manufacture more knives that weren't AO. lots of good designs in there.
I'm really looking forward to this one as well. The first protos were solid as a rock - great lockup, and an overall feeling of toughness. I really think thiss is going to be a great knife, and the final version will have a few small refinements that should make it even better.
A few people have said that they wished it was bigger, but I think once people get this knife in their hands, they'll see what a great little package it is.
RIP the excellent RAM![]()
