2012 condor line

It's short compared to historical models, but it's still a beast! Pretty excited for that one.

Thanks for the info 42!

That video was excellent (thanks for posting dakine).

You guys at Condor really did your homework and are putting out an all-star cast for 2012. Kudos to all involved.

Will you guys be making a horizontal carry sheath for the Dadao for EDC use? :D

Condor is rapidly establishing themselves as an AWESOME Knife & Tool Company, that covers everything from A-Z. I only own the Boomslang so far, but that will change. By years end I hope to have a good collection.

Boomslang
Hudson Bay
Warlock
Lochnessmuk
Pack Golock
and some more.

Yeah, their designs are great, execution is great, really my only qualm is heat treat. One blade will be spot-on, and the next too soft or too hard-still an awesome deal for the price. The company has so much potential...

Baryonyx you taking pre-orders yet:)

I'm against the concept of preorders, at least at this point in time. It means I'm holding onto other people's money while I wait for a product to materialize, and then I have to ensure that there are enough to go around. It also means you're without that money from the day you preorder on, rather than having it at your disposal if you really end up needing it. Especially when you throw the hand-inspection process in there it further complicates an already messy business. Remember all the folks who were left disappointed and angry when CS pulled the plug on their Pilum? ;) :D

But if you send me an email or PM with items you're interested in (preferably in order of priority) then that's helpful for me in determining how much of what I order at what time. :)

So, where are we at now with release dates ? VS-when will i actually be able to buy them from dealer ? Still April 1st ?

I'd keep planing on that but don't be surprised if it's a little later. :)

I recieved an email back from them on march 13 and it said about 6 weeks from then. Just enough time to save up for the 5 new knives you are going to buy from them.

I was just curious. I am having a hard time saving up, with the release of the "First Production Run" BK15, 16, 17, then the reg line 4/1/12 + the Machax. People be spendin my money for me is seems ! LOL

lol. I refrained a bit from the BK frenzy and only ordered the BK16, will wait for the regs to come out. Really enjoyin my latest condor, a hudson bay. Had to thin and raise the bevel a bit then got busy with the sandpaper and strop till I had a razor edge. Also polished the wood up to 1000 with furniture wax and scored lines at the top and bottom of both scales. Forgot to drill a hole at the bottom of the sheath for a leg cord and the rivet snapped after I snagged it against a door, so glued up and drilled some leather to make a washer, shaped and dyed and fastened with a loctited chicago screw spinning on nylon washers. Drilled the hole and riveted it.

End of rant. I like my h' bay :) Heavy, smooth and sharp!

Looking forward to the Tavian, and today a regular condor kukri will arrive at my door. Not a fan of the Rambo-esque square cut tip of recent machete-knives, but that warlock looks MEAN! The Thai Enep knife is growing on me... I have to curb this knife addiction damn it!

Yeah I'm not sure what the whole squared-tip trend is with machetes and big choppers lately--I prefer a relatively acute point whenever possible.

Or an upside down vertical back scabbard to put under your badass longcoat? :D

After a certain point, of size, a baldric rig seems sensible. It would be PURE AWESOMENESS if Condor came out with one & their blades that are say, Boomslang size & bigger would all work on it, with the stock sheaths. Just sew a few HD attachment points/buckles, & a belt keeper on the strap (not the sheath) to keep it in place & from moving around when drawing/re-sheathing it. Make them in sizes to fit most.

All they need to do is start putting some eyelets on the sheaths and you could easily attach a sling to it or, as I prefer on lager blades, do a two-point suspension. :)

I'm seeing the Kephart model show up on a certain online auction site. This leads me to believe that they are shipping. Has anyone else seen them?

Oh good LORD that Woodlaw is sexy.
Man, Condor's 2012 is going to kill my wallet!

Only problem is, the Missus is in charge of my finances!

Quick, someone help me come up with a game-plan to weasel some of my money out of her! :D
