2012 discontinuations?

Is that the Hinderer one people have been talking about?

What was the reason for discontinuing the RAM? Just poor sales, or is it hard to make?

Nope...it's an RJ Martin design. I really just looks like a stainless Zing with a smooth blade. The import Hinderer is called the "Cryo" I think...saw it in another thread here but know nothing about it. Looks like an import ZT 055x.

what brought on the rogue being discontinued? poor sales or.....? i missed my chance getting one and now. i really dug the look of it, not sure about use and feel and such since i never got to play with one.

is kershaw/zt getting out of autos completely...or is there a revamp of models coming up?

Discontinuing all autos, Thomas says they don't have the floor time for them.
 
Whoa, that's a long list. I'm excited to see what the new products are, everything recent (knockout, piston, echelon) is IMHO a winner, which is good since some of my favorite RJ designs are gone ( zing and groove)
 
I love my Zing, sad to see them go. I might have to get another before they dry up.
 
Well it's time to pick up a Groove. Maybe I can drop a few hints and find one in my stocking.
 
If the 1425 is discontinued, does that mean the ZT 0750 Talon is dead before arrival? If so that's too bad since I just found them and really like them as a companion set since I do a lot of edge in stuff. I've been scouring the internet trying to find out info on it which lead me to finally join and post here at this great place.

Thanks for the welcome! Post #8 just listed the few ZT models not including the 0750, but I wasn't sure if the 0750 counted because it hadn't been released yet. So it is still on the list of knives for ZT for 2012?

That good news now lets hope it sees the light of day soon. Since the other Talon is dead.:grumpy:

Hoping for some 0700 and 0780 too.

Stuck in the catalog and not letting them out to play is just mean!:p
 
Thanks for the clarification, I just wasn't sure if it wasn't going to be released if it would show up there since I don't exactly know if you discontinue something that hasn't been continuously made yet :D I was worried that maybe the 1425 Talon didn't do so good so the 0750 got axed from production. They are a little niche and non-traditional.

I'll pick up at least one 1425 ASAP.
 
With a list this long, it looks like we're in for a couple of "re-building" years for Kershaw's product line.
