2012 Forum Knife by GEC - Who's Got Em? POST YOUR PICTURES!!

My knives arrived today. There are a lot of beautiful photos already posted and I could never do as well as any of them, so will not try. This is one fantastic knife, many thanks to everyone who had a part in it's production. Blade pulls are a little light for a GEC, but about exactly how I like them. I love the shape, grinds and swedges of both blades. I like the bone colour and jigging much better in person than in the photos. Both of mine are very consistent so I just picked at random which to put in the gun safe for posterity and which to put in my pocket.
Thanks again to everyone who worked to create this knife. My 2010, 2011 and now this 2012 Blade Forum knives are 3 of my favorite EDCs.

I really think that GEC was shooting to please us formites. Thin blades, and medium pulls with a positive lock up? Really it can't get much better!

Took a few more pictures today.

Put an edge on the wharncliffe blade. It came with practically no bevel and I've seen note of others getting the same thing. Still, once the edge is there GEC's 1095 does not disappoint.

The small spots on the reverse side handle with this jigging pattern make me think of birds on a wire. Best to capture it now before it gets worn away.

The more I handle this knife the more I think it is truly a modern day classic. The lines, the feel, the quality...everything about it just sings.

Very nice Nate. I especially enjoyed the birds on a wire imagery. I saw it too, but once you added the actual birds picture it made it jump out all the more!

The 2011 KSF pocket slip was the same color as my 2012...as you can see after a year its a different color lol. The lanyard and end bead is to put under my belt and over the top so I can't lose it when in my watch pocket, 2011 is an emerson skull bead from 2006 and for this year I decided to use a sterling silver ring from Mexico that has never fit me.

REALLY loving the 2012...Its hard to put the 2011 down for 1 year of 2012 carry but it's a fantastic knife and the wharncliffe is a fine profile (very thin tipped too).

I've been wondering how you liked your Christmas present!

I've decided to follow your lead and carry mine for a full year... I'm really liking this one.

Within a couple days I already began working on the patina...it really is a great knife, the inner side of my clip blade has a SLIGHT imperfection in the grind near the edge but not nothing to complain about because none of my knives are safe queens.

1 year carry isn't enough for this knife!

Yeah i was wondering how its going
i notice the new forum knife is rather...beefy
wondering if it still was what you envisioned when it arrived :p

I didn't know what to think lol I didn't even know what color the bone was going to be until the first pics came out (didn't care, just ordered haha)...the blades profile is CRAZY thin, the edge bevel is almost not their even on a low angle lol

Better slicer than 2011 which I thought sliced great.

I do not often carry a traditional knife but when I do it is usually the BFC 2012 GEC. I really actually enjoy using, more so than I thought. It has really changed my views on traditional knives. Now for the pic: Here it is at work :)
