Got mine as well, my first GEC and very impressed with the fit and finish. Unfortunately someone forgot to sharpen my wharncliff blade :/ I can push my thumb into it without it cutting

Did some carving with it a few days ago. Just the finish work on this ugly spoon, most of the grunt work was done with a gouge, chisels, and saw.

Looking forward to gutting or skinning a deer or two with it very soon.
I hope both of mine came in unsharpened, first thing I do to every knife I own (including customs) is rebevel to my desired angle...everyones knives are looking great and I love seeing the patina people are already getting on their blades.

I noticed that the covers on mine look just like pistonandgears' knife. I can't take a picture of mine right now so I will borrow his for now.
I have noticed this on several pictures.
Which one is "correct"?
Is one "correct"?
I think that bottom set of jigs is slightly smaller than the top. If they are going simultaneously, there will be points where they line up a bit, and then become offset as the process continues.
I get what your saying, but one of these two shouldn't be possible under that scenario. One is offset evenly bolster to tail, the other goes from basically zero offset to almost full offset in the length of one scale.
I don't really like either one more than the other, just curious what it is supposed to look like.
