2012 LE Bladeforums Skyline Discussion

I was really excited when I got my Skyline, but I just couldn't seem to get the pocket clip to work for me. This is the first knife with a clip, that I actually like carrying better without the clip. I did have to tweak the pivot screw a little to get rid of some blade play, but now it is a perfect balance between smooth opening with just the right amount of tightness. Awesome lightweight knife! Wicked sharp out of the box. Thanks again Spark for making this happen...

Something came Christmas Eve, but my wife brought in the mail, and then got busy wrapping things. Hmmm, maybe I'll get a surprise when opening gifts! :D

<Edit: What a great Christmas present! Thanks Spark and Kershaw!>

I just got mine and let me tell you they are worth it, If there are any left I'm getting another. It appears that kershaw kept a keen eye on this batch and made them perfect. Nice even factory edge super sharp. The lock up is perfect. The blue looks great.I can only imagine they got a great heat treat, can wait to use it. Ok next we need to get a forum junkyard dog 2 bf blue with some CTS-20CP ooo or even better idea, make the composite edge out of some CPM REX 121...

Got home last night after being out of town for several days. Found my BF Skyline in the mailbox. #150. Very pleased with the knife. Merry Christmas to me!

I received #250 today. It probably arrived on Christmas Eve, but this was the first time I've been home from work to check the mailbox. Outstanding knife, It's going in the pocket tonight.

Mine arrived today (0387), and I'm very pleased with it. Did have to pay an additional $40 in taxes and import duties though... That kinda blows, but hey, the knife is here.

Awesome, completely awesome. I just got mine today. Numbers 0212 and 0495.

The fit and finish is great. Tip alignment is center. The G10 feels great in my hand.
Spark, and any others that made this possible, thank you so much. I'm glad I got in for these when I did.

Chris
Very happy in Texas!

Was not my intention to sell the knife when I posted my comment. Please do not punish me.

Are the thumbstuds useless on these, or just mine? The blade doesn't seem that tight when I use the flipper but there is just no way to get the blade open with the thumbstud- I've tried the usual push forward and pushing away from the scale, too. Do I just have too strong a detent, or are they all like this?

Thanks, Mike

I think those are blade stops, like where the stop pin is usually in the frame, these are in the blade.

It's how the Skyline is designed. It's meant as a flipper deployment, those are indeed primarily blade stops.
